Abstract

Film Censorship Institute is an institution that carries out the task of determining the appropriate position for cinema films, television, soap operas and advertisements in Indonesia. Film or television show can only be screened if it is declared censored by the LSF. As a communication medium, film is a form foundation for educating the nation's, developing self-potential, fostering noble character, promoting public welfare, promotional platform to be protected from negative content that is inconsistent with Pancasila ideology. Therefore LSF emphasizes media literacy. Since September 2021, LSF has published GNBSM, which is a movement that has been developed by LSF so that people are proficient in choosing and sorting shows according to age classification. LSF expected to be able to synergize with stakeholders. Analytical method is a qualitative method, study uses observation and interview methods conducted by interviewing respondents from the LSF, Chair of the Appreciation and Promotion Sub-Commission, Chair of the Legal and Advocacy Sub-Commission, Chair of the Commission III, Secretary of Commission III. From the results of this study it was found that the internal media used by LSF in disseminating the GNBSM program to stakeholders were print media as magazines, social media as Instagram, Facebook, TikToK, Twitter, Youtobe.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program implemented by the Indonesian government in April 2025 triggered intense public discussion on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), reflecting a sharp polarization of opinions between support and criticism. This study aims to analyze the forms, sentiment directions, and network structure of public discourse surrounding the MBG program in digital space. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, combining content analysis and Social Network Analysis (SNA) based on social media data. Data were collected through web crawling using Python 3 on Google Colab, yielding 33,213 tweets posted between 1-30 April 2025. The analysis classified public sentiment (positive and negative) and mapped user interactions to identify communication patterns and key actors. The findings reveal two dominant clusters: pro and critical groups. The pro program cluster was dominated by institutional and buzzer accounts with uniform narratives, while the critical cluster consisted mainly of personal accounts expressing participatory and argumentative views highlighting issues of implementation, food quality, and alleged budget irregularities. The network mapping shows two major clusters with limited interaction, indicating digital polarization and the echo chamber phenomenon. Conceptually, the study demonstrates that public opinion formation on social media is shaped not only by policy substance but also by political communication strategies and platform algorithms that amplify dominant narratives. These findings imply the need for a two-way, participatory communication strategy and improved digital literacy to foster a healthier and more deliberative public discourse in Indonesia’s digital sphere.

Abstract

Film sebagai media komunikasi massa memiliki potensi besar dalam menyampaikan pesan dakwah melalui bahasa visual dan simbolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi pesan dakwah dalam film Thaghut (2024) dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis tanda melalui tiga lapisan makna, yaitu denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Data penelitian diperoleh dari adegan, dialog, poster, dan trailer film Thaghut yang mengandung unsur pesan dakwah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Thaghut merepresentasikan pesan dakwah yang kuat, terutama pada aspek akidah, seperti penguatan tauhid, larangan syirik, peringatan terhadap pengkultusan figur karismatik, serta bahaya praktik mistik dan ajaran sesat. Selain itu, film ini juga menekankan pentingnya sikap kritis (tabayyun), peran keluarga dalam menjaga akidah, serta ibadah sebagai benteng spiritual dalam menghadapi pengaruh kesesatan. Melalui konstruksi tanda visual dan naratif, film Thaghut berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai hiburan horor religi, tetapi juga sebagai media dakwah kontemporer yang relevan dengan realitas sosial keagamaan masyarakat. Pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes memungkinkan pembacaan kritis terhadap makna ideologis film dalam membentuk kesadaran keagamaan penonton.
