Abstract

This study examines the strategies of religious moderation promoted by Indonesian preachers (da'i) on Instagram and explores how audiences respond to inclusive Islamic narratives in the digital era. Using a qualitative analysis of content, delivery formats, and follower interactions, the research finds that Instagram functions as an effective medium for disseminating moderate values due to its visual, interactive, and easily accessible nature. Preachers utilize various formats such as reels, carousels, and stories to creatively convey messages of tolerance and anti-extremism. The findings indicate that although challenges exist, including ideological resistance and narrative competition, the potential for strengthening religious moderation remains significant through adaptive communication approaches aligned with the needs of digital audiences. Keywords: religious moderation, digital da’wah, Instagram Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas strategi dakwah moderasi beragama yang dilakukan para dai di Instagram serta bagaimana audiens merespons narasi keberagamaan yang inklusif di era digital. Melalui analisis kualitatif terhadap konten, bentuk penyampaian, dan interaksi pengikut, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Instagram menjadi ruang efektif bagi penyebaran nilai-nilai moderat karena sifatnya yang visual, interaktif, dan mudah diakses. Para dai memanfaatkan berbagai format konten seperti reels, carousel, dan cerita untuk menyampaikan pesan toleransi dan anti-ekstremisme secara kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat tantangan berupa resistensi ideologis dan kompetisi wacana, peluang penguatan moderasi beragama sangat besar melalui pendekatan komunikasi yang adaptif dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan audiens digital.
