Abstract

This study arises from the problem that the main issue lies in the variation of work experience and competency of the administrative staff, which is suspected to affect the quality of administrative services to students. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of work experience and competency of the administrative staff on the quality of student administrative services at SMA Bhakti Sungailiat. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a survey technique and data collection through questionnaires given to administrative staff as well as service users (students and teachers). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the relationship between the variables of work experience, staff competency, and the quality of administrative services. The research sample consists of all administrative staff at the school and a representation of students as respondents who use the services. The results of the study show that work experience and competency of administrative staff simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on the quality of student administrative services. Partially, both work experience and staff competency have a positive and significant effect on student administrative services. The conclusion of this study is that work experience and competency of administrative staff are key factors in supporting the quality of student administrative services at SMA Bhakti Sungailiat. Therefore, it is recommended that the school improve training and continuous competency development of administrative staff as well as provide incentives to retain employees with adequate work experience. This is expected to improve and maintain the quality of administrative services to support optimal educational activities. Penelitian berangkat dari permasalahan bahwa masalah utama terletak pada variasi pengalaman kerja dan kompetensi pegawai tata usaha yang diduga mempengaruhi mutu layanan administrasi kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengalaman kerja dan kompetensi pegawai tata usaha terhadap kualitas layanan administrasi siswa di SMA Bhakti Sungailiat. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei dan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner kepada pegawai tata usaha serta pengguna layanan (siswa dan guru). Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji hubungan antara variabel pengalaman kerja, kompetensi pegawai, dan kualitas layanan administrasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri siswa sebagai responden pengguna layanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengalaman kerja dan kompetensi pegawai tata usaha secara simultan memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas layanan administrasi siswa. Secara parsial, pengalaman pegawai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap layanan administrasi siswa. Dan kompetensi pegawai berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap layanna administrasi siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pengalaman kerja dan kompetensi pegawai tata usaha merupakan faktor kunci dalam menunjang kualitas layanan administrasi siswa di SMA Bhakti Sungailiat. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada pihak sekolah untuk meningkatkan pelatihan dan pengembangan kompetensi pegawai tata usaha secara berkelanjutan serta memberikan insentif untuk mempertahankan pegawai dengan pengalaman kerja yang memadai. Hal ini diharapkan dapat memperbaiki dan mempertahankan kualitas layanan administrasi demi mendukung kegiatan pendidikan yang optimal.
