Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebagai respon terhadap rendahnya pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar terhadap isu perubahan iklim yang semakin berdampak nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, sementara pembelajaran IPAS di kelas masih didominasi metode ceramah sehingga siswa cenderung pasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengukur efektivitas model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman perubahan iklim pada siswa kelas IV. Desain pra-eksperimen one-group pretest-posttest dengan 26 siswa di SD Purwakarta. Instrumen: tes pilihan ganda 10 soal (validasi ahli 4,2/5,0; Cronbach's Alpha 0,78). Data dianalisis menggunakan PASW Statistics 18 dengan uji Shapiro-Wilk dan Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Data tidak berdistribusi normal (pretest p = 0,003; posttest p = 0,000). Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan Z = ?4,058, p = 0,000 (p < 0,001) dengan peningkatan signifikan: mean pretest 70,00 ? posttest 89,62 (kenaikan 19,62 poin). N-Gain 0,60 (kategori sedang). Analisis per indikator menunjukkan C3 (analisis) mencapai N-Gain tertinggi 0,72 (kategori tinggi), sedangkan indikator lainnya berada pada kategori sedang. Standar deviasi menurun 37,8% (17,89 ? 11,13), sehingga kesenjangan pemahaman berkurang. Sebanyak 80,8% siswa mengalami peningkatan dan 0% mengalami penurunan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa PBL tidak hanya efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif materi perubahan iklim, tetapi juga relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran IPAS yang menuntut keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi di era Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the inductive and deductive reasoning abilities of elementary school students in mathematics learning. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Data collection was conducted through Google Scholar and Scopus using the Publish or Perish application, with inclusion and exclusion criteria based on relevant keywords and specified publication years. Article selection followed the PRISMA flow diagram. Based on the analysis of 12 selected articles, the findings indicate that students’ inductive and deductive reasoning abilities remain relatively low, particularly in understanding problems, connecting information, and constructing solution steps. Several factors influencing these abilities include teacher-centered learning, the dominance of procedural exercises, and low student engagement in learning activities. Furthermore, the implementation of contextual learning approaches, such as Project Based Learning and Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI), has been shown to improve students’ reasoning abilities in mathematics learning.
