Environmental education in Indonesia faces stagnation due to the dominance of cognitive-reductionist scientific approaches, often failing to engage the deeper dimensions of student consciousness. This study aims to revitalize the role of literature as a pedagogical instrument for cultivating ecological reasoning by developing ecocriticism-infused literary appreciation materials. Employing the ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model, this study tests the construct validity of literature in bridging the gap between linguistic aesthetics and environmental ethics. Through triangulation validation (material experts, media experts, 15 practitioners) and field testing with 27 students at SMA Kolese De Britto, the research found that integrating ecocriticism across five literary genres achieved exceptionally high acceptability, with material expert validation at 92.08% and user response at 92.50%. These findings demonstrate that the ecocritical approach effectively transforms literary texts from mere rote-learning objects into dialectical spaces capable of training students' reasoning sensitivity and empathy toward the global environmental crisis. ABSTRAKPendidikan lingkungan hidup di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan stagnasi akibat dominasi pendekatan saintifik yang cenderung kognitif-reduksionistik, sehingga gagal menyentuh dimensi kesadaran terdalam siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merevitalisasi peran sastra sebagai instrumen pedagogis dalam menumbuhkan nalar ekologis (ecological reasoning) melalui pengembangan bahan ajar apresiasi sastra bermuatan ekokritik. Menggunakan desain Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), penelitian ini menguji validitas konstruk materi sastra dalam menjembatani kesenjangan antara estetika bahasa dan etika lingkungan. Melalui validasi triangulasi (ahli materi, ahli media, 15 praktisi pendidikan) dan uji lapangan terhadap 27 siswa SMA Kolese De Britto, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa integrasi ekokritik dalam lima genre sastra memperoleh akseptabilitas sangat tinggi dengan skor validasi ahli materi 92,08% dan respon pengguna 92,50%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan ekokritik mampu mentransformasi teks sastra dari sekadar objek hafalan menjadi ruang dialektis yang efektif untuk melatih kepekaan nalar dan empati siswa terhadap krisis lingkungan global.
