Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di sekolah mitra dilatarbelakangi oleh belum optimalnya fungsi perpustakaan, rendahnya budaya literasi, serta minimnya edukasi finansial siswa. Permasalahan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosial ekonomi orang tua yang sebagian besar petani dan buruh, keterbatasan akses digital, rendahnya pendidikan orang tua, kurangnya program pendampingan literasi, serta belum adanya kolaborasi eksternal. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan budaya literasi membaca melalui pengembangan perpustakaan kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal dan memberikan edukasi finansial dasar guna membentuk karakter hemat, cerdas, dan bertanggung jawab. Selain itu, program juga mendorong peningkatan kapasitas guru dan tenaga kependidikan dalam pembelajaran inovatif yang mengintegrasikan literasi dan finansial. Metode kegiatan meliputi pelatihan literasi keuangan, gerakan literasi membaca, dan pendampingan guru. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test dengan instrumen soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman literasi membaca dan finansial. Indikator keberhasilan program adalah peningkatan skor literasi siswa minimal 30% dan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan literasi dalam pembelajaran. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan mitra sebesar 39,5%, dengan capaian literasi finansial lebih tinggi dibandingkan literasi membaca. Abstract: Community service activities at partner schools are motivated by the suboptimal functioning of libraries, a low literacy culture, and minimal financial education for students. These problems are influenced by the socioeconomic conditions of parents, who are mostly farmers and laborers, limited digital access, low parental education, a lack of literacy mentoring programs, and a lack of external collaboration. This program aims to improve the culture of reading literacy through the development of creative libraries based on local wisdom and providing basic financial education to shape thrifty, intelligent, and responsible characters. In addition, the program also encourages increased capacity of teachers and education personnel in innovative learning that integrates literacy and finance. Activity methods include financial literacy training, reading literacy movements, and teacher mentoring. Evaluation is conducted through pre- and post-tests using multiple-choice questions to measure improvements in understanding of reading and financial literacy. Indicators of program success are an increase in student literacy scores of at least 30% and teachers' ability to integrate literacy into learning. The results show an increase in partner knowledge of 39.5%, with financial literacy achievement higher than reading literacy.
