Abstract

The divorce rate continues to increase, including among Christian couples in the city of Jember, Indonesia. This study is an effort to find divorce solutions and strengthen the unity of the Christian family. Is it true that the congregation's pastor allows divorce? Is it true that Matthew 19:1-9 can be used as a Biblical basis for divorce? Using the interview method, to see what are the pastoral theological views held and what are the pastoral empirical attitude of the Pastor of the GPdI Jember Congregation regarding marriage and divorce. The literature study method was carried out to support a historical narrative hermeneutical study of Matthew 19: 1-9. The goal is to discover Jesus' holistic pastoral view and attitude towards marriage and divorce. It is hoped that the results of this study will be useful to help pastoral ministers who are looking for the pastoral theological basis of marriage and therefore argue that this passage can be used to legitimize divorce. Angka perceraian di Indonesia terus meningkat. Keluarga Kristen di kota Jember juga mengalaminya. Studi ini merupakan upaya menemukan solusi bagi perceraian dan memperkuat keutuhan keluarga Kristen. Benarkah Gembala Jemaat mengijinkan perceraian? Apakah benar bahwa Matius 19: 1-9 dapat digunakan sebagai dasar Alkitabiah bagi perceraian?  Dengan metode wawancara, untuk melihat pandangan teologis pastoral yang dipegang dan sikap empiris pastoral Gembala Jemaat GPdI Jember terkait pernikahan dan perceraian. Metode studi pustaka dilakukan guna mendukung kajian hermeneutis naratif historis terhadap Matius 19: 1-9. Tujuannya, menemukan pandangan dan sikap pastoral holistik Yesus terhadap pernikahan dan perceraian. Hasil studi ini diharapkan bermanfaat membantu pelayan pastoral yang mencari dasar teologis pastoral pernikahan dan karena itu membantah bahwa perikop ini dapat digunakan untuk melegitimasi perceraian.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a classic problem that has contaminated the lives or urban communities, even more recently, it has contributed to destroying the morality and mentality of people in rural areas, including local church communities. The church must be intervene to contribute to change, especially for victims of drug abuse stanting in its internal community through a guidance and crisis counseling approach. The research in this paper aims to provide an overview of the counceling guidance approach in treating victims of drug abuse at GPdI “House of Glory” Tabanan-Bali. It is believed that the role and benefits of counseling guidance, if applied appropriately, intensively, and in accordance with God’s Word, is solution to help a person’s mental and spiritual recovery in his or her struggles. Researchers used qualitative research methods to explore and find treatment problems previously carried out on victims of drug abuse at GPdI “House of Glory” Tabanan-Bali. The rusults show that an inappropriate approach has been taken, namely visiting, advising and praying at any time apportunity arises. Researchers recommended a Biblical approach with the application of counseling guidance for the transformation of drug abuse victims into people who have a more positive impact according to the expectations of the environment to which they live so that they can witness the power of God to change their lives.
