Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a collaborative digital marketing strategy between merchants and financial service providers in Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores the relationship between QRIS adoption, business collaboration, and its impact on transaction efficiency and MSME competitiveness in the digital economy. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with MSME owners from the retail, culinary, and service sectors, as well as representatives from financial institutions involved in the QRIS ecosystem. The findings reveal that QRIS integration enhances transaction efficiency, strengthens consumer trust, and expands market access for small businesses. The collaboration between merchants and financial providers creates shared value through the utilization of transaction data as a foundation for marketing decision-making. Moreover, QRIS contributes to accelerating financial inclusion and reducing digital inequality across regions. Nonetheless, challenges remain, particularly in addressing limited digital literacy and infrastructure in rural areas. This study concludes that QRIS functions not only as a financial innovation but also as a strategic instrument for developing an inclusive, efficient, and sustainable digital marketing ecosystem for MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Today's development of digital technology has spread to all aspects that have led to a change in people's behaviour from conventional to digital. It has also affected conventional that are beginning to grow into e-business, such developments not only have undergone a shift in terms of management systems, but have later shifted to online-based payment systems that are considered accountable, practical and secure. The majority of people today use gadgets in transactions both online and offline because they are considered more efficient so that most stores and shopping centers provide QR-Code-based digital payment alternatives. However, not many UMKM are using QRIS as a payment alternative, so it is necessary to have an introduction and understanding of the importance of using QRIs as a digital payment tool other than cash payment. In addition, training is needed to improve the ability of UMKM perpetrators in applying QRIS, as part of digitalization, thus opening up opportunities to grow in line with the changing behaviour of deadly transaction that is increasingly open to adopting digital payments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the evolution of Dynamic Capability Theory by integrating organizational agility and adaptive judgment perspectives toward the development of Dynamic Capability Theory 4.0. Using a systematic literature review approach guided by the PRISMA framework, this study synthesizes prior research on dynamic capabilities, sensing, seizing, reconfiguring, organizational agility, managerial cognition, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and organizational resilience. The findings indicate that the traditional sensing–seizing–reconfiguring framework remains theoretically relevant but requires extension to address contemporary organizational environments characterized by technological disruption, uncertainty, and rapid market change. Organizational agility emerges as both an antecedent and an outcome of dynamic capability development, enabling firms to respond quickly and flexibly to environmental turbulence. In addition, adaptive managerial judgment functions as a critical microfoundation that determines how organizations interpret information, make strategic decisions, and reconfigure resources effectively. Digital transformation and artificial intelligence further reshape the development of dynamic capabilities by strengthening data-driven sensing, strategic decision-making, innovation, and organizational resilience. This study contributes to strategic management literature by proposing an integrative perspective of Dynamic Capability Theory 4.0, which combines sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring with agility, adaptive judgment, digital intelligence, and resilience. The review provides theoretical implications for future research and practical insights for organizations seeking to sustain competitive advantage in complex and technology-mediated environments.
