Abstract

Phyllanthus niruri Linn is one of the species of the genus Phyllanus that belongs to the herb species with a height of 40–100 cm. It contains chemical compounds such as phyllanthin, hypophyllanthine, niranthin, nirurinethin, norsecurinine, phyllantenol, saponins, flavonoids, polyphenols, philanthine, hypofylanthin, potassium salts. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of specific and non-specific parameter tests as well as the metabolite content of herbal ethanol extract (Phyllanthus niruri L.). Establishing the general standard parameter of the extract is a specific parameter that includes the identity of the extracts, organoleptic extracts, and solute compounds in ethanol solvents & water, whereas non-specific parameters include the drying volume, type weight, and water content. The test results for alkaloids, saponins, tannins, polyphenols, terpenoids, extract yield, ethanol-water soluble essence content, drying loss, specific gravity, water content, total ash content, acid insoluble ash content obtained results that meet standard requirements. In the phytochemical testing of meniran extract, the secondary metabolites contained in the meniran herb were alkaloids, saponins, polyphenols, tannins. In the flavonoid test, the results did not meet the standards due to the evaporation process in the samples taking too long and several environmental factors that influenced the extraction process.

Abstract

Butterfly pea flowers are used as eye medicine, phlegm thinner, and food coloring, but they have pharmacological benefits as antioxidants, antibacterials, antiparasitics, antidiabetics, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer. Phlegm will usually accumulate until it becomes thick and becomes difficult to expel. Diseases of the respiratory system that are most often suffered by children include acute respiratory infections (ISPA). The aim of this research is to find out the correct formulation and method of making lozenges according to CPOB, then evaluate the physical preparation to ensure the quality of the preparation. The butterfly pea flower extract lozenges were subjected to phytochemical testing, granule evaluation, and lozenge evaluation. yield 7.2%, solvent-free test does not smell of ester, which means the ethanol extract of butterfly pea flower is positive for ethanol solvent-free, flavonoid test produces a red color, which means it contains flavonoids. Physical properties test of the tablet requires results, namely, flow rate 7 seconds, angle of repose 30°, compatibility 6%, humidity 2.30%, organoleptic has a light gray color, sweet smell typical of butterfly pea flower extract, slightly sweet taste, round shape, weight uniformity 0.956%, size uniformity 1, disintegration time 7 minutes, friability 0.28%.

Abstract

Hidrokortison memiliki potensi antiinflamasi yang tak terlalu kuat, sehingga baik digunakan secara topikal untuk inflamasi. tujuan penelitian ini untuk memformulasikan dan mengevaluasi sediaan obat tetes mata sebagai antiinflamasi. Metode yang digunakan pada obat tetes mata hidrocortison yaitu  uji organoleptis, uji kejernihan, uji pH, uji viskosistas, dan uji sterilitas. Hasil pada uji organoleptis memenuhi persyaratan (bening, tidak berbau, bentuk cair), uji kejernihan memenuhi persyaratan (tidak terdapat endapan atau partikel asing), uji ph pada F1(7,7) sedikit melebihi standar dan F2 (7,2) dan F3 (7,3)sesuai standar, Pada uji viskositas mendapatkan hasil F1 (0,79 cPs), F2 (1,15 cPs), F3 (1,60 cPs) tidak memenuhi rentang viskositas, uji sterilitas menunjukkan hasil yang baik, di mana tidak ditemukan pertumbuhan mikroba pada semua formula setelah inkubasi, menandakan sediaan telah steril dan aman digunakan.
