Abstract

Automation technology provides better outcomes from the perspective of time efficiency, material usage, and reducing error rates in a process. Sensors and visual sensing are components or methods frequently used in industrial automation systems. Visual sensing methods can replace simple tasks typically performed by an operator's vision in the industry, such as counting specific objects. Object counting algorithms are adapted to the type of object being counted; for example, counting fish objects and counting sack objects on a conveyor belt require different algorithms. Operators who are tired or unfocused can cause errors in counting objects like sacks on a conveyor belt, leading to financial losses. The main component used in this automatic counting system is a webcam. Each image frame is captured and processed in a computer to obtain parameters used as the basis for counting sack objects. The counting results are displayed on a monitor to facilitate the operator's view of the output. The method used is segmentation with a thresholding technique, which allows the separation of sack objects from the conveyor. The application of the segmentation method produces accurate counts; a total of 21 sack objects on the conveyor belt were counted without errors using this method. The use of filters did not affect the counting results, while the area size did. An area size of 50x50 provided the most accurate counting results and the best FPS (Frames Per Second) compared to other area sizes. This technique can ensure that the calculation process does not cause errors that result in losses.

Abstract

Communication propagation between a drone and a HetNet (Heterogeneous Network) gNB (generalized Node B) in uplink conditions. The drone moves on a straight path between built-up environments. The communication frequency of 10 GHz can affect oksigen and water vapor at that frequency. Propagation of communication systems in a building environment can cause diffraction. The diffraction mechanism was modeled with Single Knife Edge (SKE) method. AMC (Adaptive Modulation and Coding) dynamically modifies the coding rate and modulation scheme according to signal quality. MCS (Modulation and Coding Scheme) consisting of QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM was used in AMC. Research analysis includes SNR values on the drone path, coverage percentage, and MCS percentage. As a result of research for MCS 64QAM coderate 4/5 with Selection Combining (SC) between HetNet gNB macrocell and gNB femtocell, 64 nodes or 95.52% were obtained. The communication coverage was obtained using MCS for drone communication on this route.

Abstract

The high demand for electricity in the production process at PT Semen Padang requires a system that can cope with various kinds of disturbances. The problem is that the need for electrical loads is dynamic, especially in the short term, allowing fluctuations between electrical loads at uncertain times. A short-term electric energy consumption forecasting method is needed to determine load growth and distributed power supply. This research aims to use a fuzzy logic algorithm to perform short-term electrical energy consumption forecasting and compare the forecasting results with the actual load at PT Semen Padang. The results showed that short-term load forecasting for seven days using the fuzzy Mamdani method, namely Smallest of Maximum (SoM), obtained a percentage MAPE value of 8.15%. Meanwhile, the Weight of Average (WoA) Sugeno defuzzification method gets a portion of the MAPE value of 9.51%. The Sugeno method is more accurate than the Mamdani method in short-term electricity load forecasting for PPI Indarung V PT Semen Padang. If based on the time category, then forecasting the electricity load on holidays is better than predicting on weekdays. However, when viewed in terms of per day, in Wednesday has the smallest average MAPE value of 5.05%.
