Abstract

To analyze the performance of the intersection using the PKJI (2014) method, the data used in this research is primary data in the form of geometric intersections, traffic flow conditions, environmental conditions and side friction. Secondary data in the form of population growth data. Traffic data collection is carried out on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays in the morning 06:00-08:00, Afternoon at 11:00-13:00, Afternoon at 15:30-17:30. The results showed that the highest number of SF during peak hours occurred at 16:30-17:30 WIB, namely as many as 711 events/hour on Sunday, 634.90 events/hour on Monday, and 735 events/hour on Friday. The performance of the intersection decreased due to the presence of side friction, seen the highest degree of saturation value of DS = 1,282, Capacity C = 2786.96 cur/hour, Delay D = 89.46 seconds/skr (service level F), Queue Opportunity QP = 67.64-139 ,64 %, and Side Friction SF = 711 events/hour. Based on the results of linear regression analysis, the effect of side friction on the degree of saturation is 60% with the equation Y = 0.0011X + 0.3938. An alternative solution to dealing with problems at intersections is the installation of APILL (Traffic Signaling Tool), because after an analysis has been carried out by widening the minor road and main road approaches, installing the median, and controlling road users, it shows the degree of saturation value from DS = 1,282 to DS =1.141 is still not in accordance with the target, namely DS = 0.85. From the alternative solutions that have been carried out, it cannot reduce the degree of saturation to DS = 0.85.Keywords: intersection performance, degree of saturation, delay, PKJI (2014), side friction.

Abstract

This research is a modeling based on the finite element method using BorLog (N-SPT) data on the airport taxiway and analyzes parameters or soil correlation. The purpose of this modeling is to analyze the modeling of the pile on a medium soft soil profile that has been improved soil (soil improvement) with Injection Pile based on the required settlement criteria during the construction period of <100 mm / year. So from the results of the analysis, soil improvement on the taxiway shows a land subsidence of 0.01657 m at the group pile (100 m overall) and 0.02375 m at the cluster pile (part 40 m). The reduction of the taxiway using the Injection Pile method can be applied as a soil improvement to increase the carrying capacity and reduce excessive settlement during the construction period.

Abstract

PT. Xyz is engaged in manufacturing spare parts. Based on the observations of PT. Xyz found that the company had not implemented the 5S working principle properly. Kaizen 5S is a method of structuring and maintaining an intensive work area originating from Japan that is used by management in an effort to maintain order, efficiency and discipline at work sites while improving overall company performance. The conclusions that can be obtained from research on the implementation of the 5S method in improving the work area that have been carried out are as follows: evaluation of the 5S program on the production floor of PT. Xyz has not been fully maximized, the role of the team leader is an important key for the successful implementation of the 5S method, the factors that influence the unsuccessful application of the 5S method are the employees' understanding of the 5S function, motivation, team head performance and supervision of the 5S method implementation. Knowing the implementation of the 5S program at PT. Xyz. The implementation of the 5S program is good, the program is carried out between working hours, 10 minutes before enough the job . In its application, it creates a clean and tidy environment, can simplify and speed up the production process, and extend the life of production machines, due to routine inspection and maintenance activities. The strategy for improving the application of the 5S method recommended for the 5S program in the production area is periodic monitoring of the implementation of 5S and work instructions that operators must carry out 5S.
