Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis kebutuhan media pop up book digital pada materi narasi fiksi, mengetahui desain media pop up book digital pada materi narasi fiksi, mengetahui tingkat validitas media, mengetahui kepraktisan media, serta mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pop up book digital dalam pembelajaran menulis narasi fiksi siswa kelas IV SDN 51 Sumarambu Kota Palopo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development (RND) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 51 Sumarambu Kota Palopo dengan subjek penelitian meliputi guru dan 15 siswa kelas IV di SDN 51 Sumarambu Kota Palopo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pop up book digital yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa dan guru dalam pembelajaran menulis narasi fiksi. Analisis kebutuhan mencakup analisis permasalahan pembelajaran serta kebutuhan siswa dan guru. Desain media pop up book digital disusun melalui penentuan tujuan pembelajaran dan perancangan tampilan media pop up book digital yang memuat ilustrasi visual dan audio untuk membantu siswa memahami alur cerita, tokoh, dan latar. Validitas pengembangan media pop up book digital terdiri dari validator ahli media dengan skor 82%, ahli bahasa memberikan nilai 90%, dan ahli materi memberikan nilai 93% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil praktikalitas siswa terhadap media pop up book digital melibatkan 15 siswa memperoleh nilai 94% dan hasil praktikalitas dari wali kelas IV dengan nilai 84% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Uji efektivitas media pop up book digital diperoleh rata-rata skor pretest siswa adalah kategori cukup efektif dan rata-rata posttest adalah dengan kategori efektif.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a Snakes and Ladders learning medium integrating the Sawerigading folktale and local wisdom values for fifth-grade folklore instruction in Indonesian elementary schools. A Research and Development (R&D) design guided by the ADDIE model was employed, with one classroom teacher and 18 fifth-grade students at SDN 269 Lambatu, East Luwu Regency, as research subjects, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via observation, semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and analyzed using a mixed-methods approach. Needs analysis revealed that 100% of students preferred game-based learning, while teachers reported overreliance on conventional textbook-based instruction. The developed medium incorporated 36 game squares embedding comprehension questions and cultural reflection tasks drawn from the Sawerigading narrative. Expert validation yielded scores of 82.50% (media), 83.33% (content), and 80.00% (cultural), all within the valid to very valid category. Practicality testing produced scores of 91.56% from students and 91.66% from the teacher, both classified as very practical. These findings confirm that traditional game mechanics and regional folklore can be systematically synthesized into a culturally coherent and pedagogically sound instructional medium. This study contributes a replicable, ADDIE-based model for culturally responsive learning media development applicable across diverse regional contexts in Indonesia.
