Abstract

The fiqh rule of Al-Yaqin La Yuzalu Bi Asy-Syakk (“certainty is not removed by doubt”) is one of the five main rules in Islamic fiqh that plays an important role in maintaining legal stability and peace among the people. In the midst of the complexity of modern society, which is prone to anxiety, this principle is relevant in preventing extremist attitudes in worship and social interactions. This study formulates two questions: how is this principle implemented in the establishment of fiqh law? And how relevant is it to contemporary fiqh issues? The aim is to examine the application and assess the relevance of this principle. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, employing observation, semi-structured interviews, and thematic analysis linked to fiqh literature. The results indicate that society has applied this principle in addressing uncertainties, such as in wudhu, prayer, digital transactions, and the halal status of products, making it important to continue disseminating it through fiqh education.
