Abstract

Self-regulated learning is an individual's ability to actively manage their own learning process, starting from setting goals, choosing appropriate learning strategies, monitoring learning progress, to evaluating the learning process and outcomes that have been achieved. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance strategies with problem-solving techniques in improving students' self-regulated learning. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest posttest design. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling method totaling 10 students out of 78 grade XI students of SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang. The data collection technique used a self-regulated learning instrument created by the researcher. The data analysis technique used a Paired Sample T-test to see whether there was an increase before and after treatment. The results showed that after treatment there was a significant increase between the average pretest and posttest scores. The average pretest score of 59 increased to 100 at the time of the posttest. Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, a significant value of 0.000 was obtained, meaning it was less than 0.05, or 0.000 <0.05. Thus, the group guidance strategy using problem-solving techniques was effective in improving self-regulated learning among Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 6 Pandeglang in the 2025/2026 academic year.
