Abstract

The research covers the significant phenomenon of sukuk in the global economy post-crisis. It has proven index growth against conventional securities. There is still a literature gap regarding the effect of institutional quality on Islamic financial markets, bringing sukuk into the picture despite enjoying progressive growth in Sukuk. Therefore, the research aims to empirically investigate the influence of macroeconomics and institutional quality on the sukuk market development based on secondary data from WDI, ICRG, and IIFM. The study objects thus include the top five sukuk-issuing countries from 2008 to 2023: Malaysia, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Bahrain-but analyzed with the aid of dynamic panel data regression. Results indicate that GDP per capita, exchange rate, and indicators of institutional quality significantly and positively influence the sukuk market, while inflation and corruption control have significant negative impacts; hence, this research underscores the requirement of macroeconomic stability and better institutional quality for better development of the Islamic capital market.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial intention plays a crucial role in encouraging university students to pursue a career as entrepreneurs. This study aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurship education and social media on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial mindset serving as a mediating variable among students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at UNS. A quantitative approach utilizing a survey method was employed. The study population consisted of active students from the Economic Education, Office Administration Education, and Accounting Education study programs (classes of 2022–2023) who had completed an entrepreneurship course. A probability sampling technique specifically proportionate stratified random sampling was used to select a sample of 131 students. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that entrepreneurship education, social media, and entrepreneurial mindset all exert a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial intention. Furthermore, entrepreneurial mindset mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education/social media and entrepreneurial intention. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening students' entrepreneurial mindset as a connecting factor, thereby enabling entrepreneurship education and social media to more effectively foster entrepreneurial intention. Keywords: entrepreneurship education, social media, entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurial mindset

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has increased the use of ChatGPT in higher education, yet frequent use does not necessarily lead to positive perceptions of AI. This study examines the effects of AI self-efficacy and ChatGPT use on students’ perceptions of AI, with AI literacy as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed. The population consisted of 479 Economic Education students at Universitas Sebelas Maret from the 2022–2025 cohorts. Using purposive sampling, 100 students who had used ChatGPT for academic purposes were selected as respondents. Data were collected through a four-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that AI self-efficacy has positive and significant effects on AI perception and AI literacy. ChatGPT use has a positive and significant effect on AI literacy but does not significantly affect AI perception. AI literacy positively and significantly affects AI perception. Furthermore, AI literacy partially mediates the effect of AI self-efficacy on AI perception but does not mediate the effect of ChatGPT use on AI perception. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening AI self-efficacy and AI literacy to support more informed perceptions of AI in learning. Keywords: AI self-efficacy, ChatGPT usage, AI perception, AI literacy.
