Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of local wisdom-based Islamic Religious Education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and its contribution to the character formation of students. The background of this study is based on the importance of religious education that is not only oriented towards mastering normative Islamic knowledge, but also able to integrate local cultural values ​​that live and develop in the community. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with research subjects including the madrasah principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of local wisdom-based Islamic Religious Education is carried out through the integration of local cultural values ​​into the materials, methods, and learning activities, such as habituating religious attitudes, social activities, and the application of local traditions that are in line with Islamic teachings. This approach makes learning more contextual and meaningful for students. In addition, the implementation of local wisdom-based Islamic Religious Education has a positive impact on the formation of student character, especially in aspects of religiosity, discipline, social awareness, and mutual respect. However, this study also identified several obstacles, including limited relevant learning resources and suboptimal teacher competency in developing local wisdom-based learning. Therefore, policy support, teacher competency strengthening, and the development of sustainable madrasah culture are needed to optimize the implementation of local wisdom-based Islamic Religious Education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary Schools).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in PAI learning to improve students' critical thinking skills. PBL is a learning approach that involves students in solving real problems, which can train their analytical and critical skills. The research used a qualitative approach with a literature review method, analyzing journals, books, and documents related to the application of PBL in PAI. The results of the analysis show that PBL can improve the quality of PAI learning by giving students direct experience in solving problems relevant to real life, as well as encouraging the development of social and moral skills. However, challenges such as longer time and changes in the roles of teachers and students in the learning process need to be overcome so that the implementation of PBL can be optimized. This study recommends proper problem planning, the role of the teacher as a facilitator, and the integration of moral values in learning to increase the effectiveness of PBL in PAI.

Abstract

Abstract: According to Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential. The foundation of education referring to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution must remain rooted in Indonesian national religious and cultural values. Therefore, it is very important to pay attention to educational policies and innovations so that education runs directly in accordance with current conditions. However, it is also important to note that educational innovation must instill Islamic values so that it is in accordance with PMA Republic of Indonesia No. 13 of 2013 concerning Islamic Religious Education states that the implementation of education must instill in students the need to have faith and devotion to Allah SWT. However, great attention from the state alone is not enough, because practitioners and academics must strive hard to carry out continuous innovation in managing and developing education. This educational innovation must be based on educational goals to improve the quality of education, which will ultimately make the life of the nation intelligent and form competitive and dignified people.
