Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of teachers in supervising children with autism in SKh 01 Kota Serang. Autism comes from the word auto which means alone. Because if you pay attention, you get the impression that people with autism seem to live in their own world. In general, people with autism can be grouped according to the presence of behavioral disorders, namely social interaction disorders, communication disorders, motor behavior disorders, emotional disorders and sensory disorders. This group of disorders is characterized by qualitative abnormalities in social interactions and communication patterns, restricted and stereotyped interest tendencies and movements. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru dalam mengawasi anak autisme di SKh 01 Kota Serang, Autisme berasal dari kata auto yang berarti sendiri. Karena bila diperhatikan maka ada kesan bahwa penyandang autisme seolah-olah hidup di dunianya sendiri. Secara umum penyandang autisme dapat dikelompokkan menurut adanya gangguan perilaku yaitu gangguan interaksi sosial, gangguan komunikasi, gangguan perilaku motorik, gangguan emosi dan gangguan sensori. Kelompok gangguan ini ditandai oleh abnormalitas kualitatif dalam interaksi sosial dan pola komunikasi, kecenderungan minat dan gerakan terbatas serta bersifat stereotipik.
