Abstract

This study examines the impact of school leadership and procedural justice on teacher citizenship behavior at SMPN 21 Depok, West Java. The educational institution serves as a dynamic environment where individuals must collaborate to achieve the school's vision and mission, necessitated by rapid changes and disruptions. Teachers are expected to perform a variety of tasks to meet educational goals, but the increasing demands often conflict with declining numbers of educators. This imbalance may lead to decreased motivation and creativity among teachers, ultimately affecting citizenship behavior, which is crucial for organizational effectiveness. Effective school leadership is pivotal in fostering an environment conducive to citizenship behavior, emphasizing the need for motivation, trust, and a positive work climate. Using a quantitative research method with regression analysis and hypothesis testing, findings reveal that both school leadership and procedural justice significantly influence citizenship behavior, although the indirect effect of leadership through procedural justice is not significant. Enhancing teachers' citizenship behavior is linked to effective leadership practices that encourage collaboration and support within the educational setting.
