Abstract

Education is a process that supports human development in finding their direction in life. Through education, individuals can develop their abilities according to their talents and interests. Teachers play an essential role in determining the effectiveness of learning. A teacher must innovate and be creative in designing active, collaborative, and exploratory learning strategies so that students become more enthusiastic, active, and enjoy the learning process. For some students, Mathematics is one of the subjects often considered difficult and boring. This is due to the abstract and complex nature of mathematics material and the generally conventional methods of instruction. Efforts to enhance students' interest in learning through the Wordwall media are supported by previous research that shows the positive impact of using such media. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted over two cycles, with each cycle consisting of one face-to-face meeting. It can be concluded that the use of Wordwall educational games in mathematics learning successfully increased students' interest in learning and their cognitive learning outcomes. During the two cycles of the study, a significant improvement was observed in both student participation and their cognitive test results. The implementation of Wordwall, which takes the form of interactive quizzes, proved effective in making mathematics learning more enjoyable, engaging, and capable of increasing students' motivation to learn.
