Abstract

This study aims to increase the learning activity of grade III students of SD Negeri 1 Barongan by using the Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model. This research is included in the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the research subject of grade III students of SD Negeri 1 Barongan in the 2024/2025 school year with a total of 15 male students and 13 female students. This research step uses a research model developed by Prof. Dr. Suharsimi Arikunto. The data collection method used observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The method of data analysis uses observation sheets of observed students. The results of this study can be seen from the observation sheet of students' learning activity in each cycle, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. The average learning activity percentage of students in cycle 1 was 73% and cycle 2 was 84%. In addition, the implementation of learning using the Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in cycle 1 reached 86.5% and cycle 2 reached 97%. From this study, the Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model was able to increase the learning activity of grade III students of SD Negeri 1 Barongan. This is evidenced by the average learning activity score of students in each cycle.
