Abstract

Landslide disaster is a serious threat that can damage property and threaten lives. This study aims to understand community behavior in reducing landslide risk in vulnerable areas, using qualitative methods such as interviews and observations. The results show that community awareness of landslide risk is still low, despite local initiatives such as training and socialization. Several factors that influence community behavior are knowledge about disasters, personal experiences, and support from the government and non-governmental organizations. Community involvement in mitigation programs increases their sense of ownership and responsibility for the environment.
