Abstract

This research aims to apply learning media in the form of audio-visual media using dioramas in science learning for class V elementary schools. This study was motivated by the lack of interest and motivation in learning students because in delivering the material teachers rarely use learning media so that it affects student learning outcomes. The research method used is PreExperimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The data collection method used is a test (pretest and posttest) and non-test (documentation). The data analysis technique used is a statistical analysis technique using the t-test. Based on the data analysis, the average pretest result was 50,13 and the average posttest result was 64,28. This shows that there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores in the class and proves that there is an increase in learning outcomes in the learning process. While the results of the hypothesis test have a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.002, the result is <0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, this shows that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. So that the use of audio-visual media using dioramas is effective in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.
