Abstract

This research aims to determine the utilization of wall magazines as a school literacy program in increasing the reading interest of fourth-grade students at UPT SPF SDN 67 Rappokalling in Makassar City. The background of this research is the low reading interest of students, which is indicated by the lack of reading activities both inside and outside the classroom. To address this issue, wall magazines were chosen as an alternative literacy media that is inexpensive, easily accessible, and capable of encouraging students' creativity in writing. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive techniques. Data were obtained through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, fourth-grade teachers, and students. Samples were selected using purposive sampling techniques, specifically fourth-grade students who are directly involved in the wall magazine program. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, as well as using triangulation to test the validity of the data.Keywords:
