Abstract

This study aims to implement the cooperative learning model of the Make a Match type to improve numeracy skills in mathematics for third-grade students at SDN Banyuajuh 5. The research method used is classroom action research based on the Kemmis & Mc. Taggart model, consisting of several cycles with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research results indicate that the implementation of the cooperative learning model Make a Match gradually enhances students' understanding of multiplication concepts. In Cycle I, the percentage of students with numeracy skills reached 62,1%, which means that, in the first cycle, students' numeracy skills had already reached a high category. In Cycle II, there was an increase of 7.4% in students' numeracy skills, bringing it to 69,5%. Meanwhile, in Cycle III, students' numeracy skills improved further, increasing from 69,5% in Cycle II to 77,7%, indicating that students' numeracy skills were classified as very high. These results demonstrate a continuous improvement in students' numeracy skills from Cycle I to Cycle III. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that the cooperative learning model
