Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning creativity of Grade 1 students at SD Nurul Khoir in the Art and Culture subject through the use of collage media. The problem identified includes limited learning facilities and the lack of classroom activities that foster student creativity. In addition, many students struggled to recognize shapes and colors accurately and had difficulty describing objects in detail. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles. The subjects were 23 first-grade students, and data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the use of collage media effectively enhanced students' creativity, especially in recognizing shapes and colors through the theme of fruits such as bananas, apples, and oranges. The collage activity encouraged students to express themselves freely, develop their imagination, and improve fine motor skills through cutting and pasting materials. Although the activity required adequate preparation and time, it provided a contextual and enjoyable learning experience. In the first cycle, student creativity was still low, with a success rate of 51.65% due to the teacher-centered approach. However, in the second cycle, significant improvement was observed, with the success rate increasing to 81.21%, in line with greater student engagement both physically and mentally. Therefore, the implementation of collage media proved effective in creating an active learning environment and supporting the early development of student creativity.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas belajar siswa kelas I SD Nurul Khoir dalam mata pelajaran Seni Budaya melalui penerapan media kolase. Permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas belajar dan minimnya kegiatan pembelajaran yang mendorong kreativitas siswa. Selain itu, banyak siswa belum mampu mengenal bentuk dan warna dengan baik, serta kesulitan dalam menjelaskan suatu bentuk secara rinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas I, dan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media kolase efektif dalam meningkatkan kreativitas siswa, khususnya dalam mengenal bentuk dan warna melalui tema buah-buahan seperti pisang, apel, dan jeruk. Kegiatan kolase memungkinkan siswa untuk berekspresi secara bebas, mengembangkan imajinasi, serta melatih keterampilan motorik halus melalui aktivitas memotong dan menempel. Meskipun memerlukan persiapan bahan dan waktu yang cukup, kegiatan ini memberikan pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Pada siklus I, kreativitas siswa masih rendah dengan tingkat keberhasilan 51,65% karena pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru. Namun, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan signifikan hingga 81,21% seiring meningkatnya keterlibatan aktif siswa, baik secara fisik maupun mental. Dengan demikian, penerapan media kolase terbukti mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif dan mendukung perkembangan kreativitas sejak dini.
