Abstract

The implementation of IPAS (Science and Social Studies) learning in elementary schools often encounters obstacles due to students’ diverse learning styles. A mismatch between teaching methods and students’ characteristics can reduce learning effectiveness. This study aims to identify the dominant learning style among fourth-grade students at SDN 64/1 Muara Bulian and its implications for IPAS learning. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed by distributing a learning style questionnaire to 25 students. The instrument consisted of three main categories: visual, kinesthetic, and auditory. The results showed that the visual learning style was dominant, with 44% (11 students), followed by kinesthetic at 36% (9 students), and auditory at 20% (5 students). This finding indicates that most students comprehend material more easily through visual media such as images, concept maps, and instructional videos. The results emphasize the importance of teachers designing adaptive and varied IPAS learning strategies by combining visual, kinesthetic, and auditory approaches to accommodate all students effectively.

Abstract

Education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level currently faces significant challenges in balancing cognitive mastery with holistic character building amidst moral crises and intolerance. This study aims to elaborate on the integration of the 2025 Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) and Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligences in Natural Science (IPA) learning at MI. The method employed is library research, using content analysis and descriptive-synthesis techniques on KBC policy documents and literature related to multiple intelligences. The results indicate that the synergy between KBC and Multiple Intelligences creates a holistic and inclusive science learning ecosystem. The "Panca Cinta" values are transformed through eight unique intelligence pathways, where scientific phenomena are understood as "kauniyah" verses that foster religiosity, empathy, and ecological responsibility. The novelty of this research lies in the interdisciplinary synthesis that maps emotional-spiritual intelligence onto the cognitive diversity of MI students. The study concludes that this integration not only improves scientific literacy but also serves as a catalyst for a more humanistic education through learning personalization based on AI technology and local wisdom.
