Abstract

This study analyzes the scope and sequence of the Fiqh curriculum at MTsN 1 Malang Regency to assess its integration of theory, practice, and character building. A descriptive qualitative method was used through teacher interviews and curriculum document analysis. The results show that the curriculum covers ibadah (purification, prayer, zakat, fasting, pilgrimage) and muamalah (trade, usury, inheritance). The sequence is logically arranged from basic to practical levels, creating progressive and contextual learning. It also integrates social and spiritual values through school-based zakat and charity activities. Overall, the curriculum’s scope and sequence support Islamic character development, 21st-century competencies, and contextual learning relevance.
