Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of facilities and infrastructure management in supporting learning effectiveness at UPTD SD Negeri Palsatu. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to teachers and school staff. The results showed that the management of facilities and infrastructure at the school has been implemented properly, starting from planning, procurement, maintenance, and utilization of learning facilities. Adequate facilities and infrastructure have a positive impact on the comfort, motivation, and effectiveness of the learning process. In addition, collaboration among the principal, teachers, staff, and the community plays an important role in maintaining the sustainability of school facility management. Thus, good facilities and infrastructure management has been proven to improve learning quality and overall educational outcomes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan manajemen siswa di SD Negeri Bertingkat Naikoten berdasarkan persepsi dan pengalaman guru. Manajemen siswa memegang peran yang sangat penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan kondusif, serta mendukung perkembangan akademik dan karakter siswa secara menyeluruh. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada guru yang langsung terlibat dalam pengelolaan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen siswa di sekolah berjalan secara efektif dan terstruktur, yang ditunjukkan oleh persentase tinggi jawaban “Ya” (97%) dari para guru. Sekolah melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan untuk menanamkan karakter, membina disiplin, melaksanakan program ekstrakurikuler, dan mengelola administrasi siswa secara efektif dan konsisten. Kolaborasi antara guru, wali kelas, dan orang tua juga membantu memperkuat efektivitas manajemen siswa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan manajemen siswa yang menyeluruh dan berkelanjutan sangat baik dalam menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang positif dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research examines the natoni tradition, an oral cultural heritage of the Atoni Meto people in South Central Timor (TTS), East Nusa Tenggara, which carries deep social, moral, and educational significance. The study focuses on exploring the forms, roles, and socio-cultural values within natoni and how these values can be applied in Social Studies (IPS) education at the elementary level. The aim is to describe the meaning of natoni, uncover its moral and social messages, and explain its connection to the goals of Social Studies learning in shaping students’ character and civic awareness. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data gathered through interviews with parents, families, and community members knowledgeable about natoni, as well as literature reviews from academic journals, books, and scholarly articles. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and interpretation to identify key cultural and pedagogical insights. The results show that natoni acts as a form of traditional communication that teaches values of respect, responsibility, solidarity, and cooperation. These align closely with Social Studies objectives, particularly in building students’ moral and social character. Hence, natoni can be utilized as a contextual learning resource rooted in local wisdom to strengthe cultural identity and appreciation among learners.
