Abstract

The Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) for defending the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) by Group 126 aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs in Pagesangan Village in building a strong visual identity through product branding education. This activity is motivated by the low understanding of MSMEs regarding the importance of visual elements such as logos, colors, typography, and packaging in forming a professional and competitive brand image. The program is implemented through several stages, namely simple financial management training, branding strategies, visual design practices in the form of a professional and competitive brand image, and evaluation of MSME social media. The program evaluation was carried out using the Kirkpatrick model covering four aspects, namely reactions, learning, behavior, and results. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills in applying branding elements consistently, as seen by a post-test score of 100% compared to the variation in scores in the pre-test. This branding education has proven effective in strengthening the competitiveness of MSME products and has become a sustainable SDGs-based empowerment model that is worthy of replication.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Agile methodology using the Scrum framework in the development of a Mangrove Education Website. The research applies an applied research approach within the field of software engineering, focusing on the practical application of Scrum in a real system development project. The development process was conducted iteratively through several sprints, involving a cross-functional team consisting of a Project Manager, UI/UX Designer, Front-End Developer, and Back-End Developer. Data were collected qualitatively through observation, documentation of sprint activities, backlog records, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. The findings indicate that the implementation of Scrum, as defined in The Scrum Guide, effectively supports transparency, inspection, and adaptation throughout the development lifecycle. Iterative increments enabled continuous improvement of system features, including educational content modules, planting progress dashboards, and carbon absorption visualization. The study concludes that Agile-Scrum is an effective and adaptive approach for developing dynamic, stakeholder-oriented web-based environmental education systems.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly facilitated data management, particularly in the field of education. However, this convenience also presents new challenges in ensuring data security, especially for academic information that is sensitive and vulnerable to unauthorized access. This study aims to develop a web-based academic data security system by implementing the AES-256 encryption algorithm in Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) mode. The system is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database to manage student data such as name, NISN, class, address, gender, religion, and mother’s name. The core functionality lies in encrypting and decrypting sensitive information using the openssl_encrypt and openssl_decrypt functions, integrated with a 256-bit encryption key and a randomly generated Initialization Vector (IV) to ensure confidentiality. The encrypted data is stored in base64 format to maintain compatibility with relational databases and storage systems. Testing was conducted to evaluate the accuracy of the encryption-decryption process and to assess the impact on system performance. Results show that the system effectively secures sensitive data; the encrypted entries in the database are unreadable to unauthorized users and can only be restored using the correct encryption key and IV. With a simple yet functional user interface and automated encryption handling, the system proves to enhance academic data security without compromising operational efficiency. These findings demonstrate that the implementation of AES-256-CBC encryption can be effectively applied in educational information systems, offering a practical and reliable solution for safeguarding academic data in web-based environments.
