Abstract

Substance abuse is a growing social issue in Indonesia, and prevention efforts require active community involvement in building resilience against drug threats. This study aims to develop and test the validity and reliability of the Community Resilience Index (Anti) Drugs as an indicator for identifying the community's resilience to substance abuse. The developed instrument includes three main dimensions: Self-Resilience, Family Resilience, and Community System Resilience, adapted from the Anti Drugs Scale (ADS), Walsh Family Resilience Questionnaire (WFRQ), and the Drug Threat Awareness City Index Instrument. The study uses a quantitative approach, involving 200 students as respondents, selected via cluster sampling techniques. Results of the analysis show that most items in the dimensions of self-resilience, family resilience, and community system resilience are valid and fit the data model. The Community Resilience Index (Anti) Drugs, tested using a second-order model, also showed valid results, confirming the reliability of the scale. This study promotes scale development through expert input and broader testing to enhance its applicability.
