Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly impacted productivity, enabling tasks to be completed more efficiently. In government and public service institutions, utilizing information technology is essential, as it has proven to enhance the quality of services, making them more responsive, effective, efficient, and accountable. According to Law Number 25, Article 1, Paragraph 1 of 2009, public service is defined as activities or a series of activities aimed at fulfilling service needs based on regulations, for every citizen and resident, concerning goods, services, and/or administrative assistance provided by public service providers. Implementing electronic services accelerates the development of e-Government. Public services at the village administration level play a crucial role in delivering quality service to the community. Unfortunately, public services at the 35 Ilir Village have received numerous complaints from the local community. This issue arises because the administrative document submission system is still handled manually, requiring each document to be printed and filed manually.

Abstract

This study addresses the challenge of designing and developing a web-based e-archive information system at the South Sumatra Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID). The system is developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database management system. This research aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of archiving official letters and administrative documents. The system development follows the waterfall method, which consists of four stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review. The results of this study indicate that the proposed web-based e-archive information system facilitates archive data management and improves retrieval efficiency through an integrated search feature, enabling faster and more accurate document searches

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged government institutions to improve the efficiency and quality of public services, one of which is through the digitalization of public complaint systems. The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Palembang City, particularly Commission I, does not yet have a web-based complaint system, so the complaint management process is still carried out manually and is prone to delays in handling and potential data loss. This research aims to design and develop a web-based public complaint information system that facilitates citizens in submitting reports online and assists the DPRD in following up on reports quickly and systematically. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, consisting of analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance stages, with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. The results show that the developed system can improve the speed of reporting, the accuracy of data storage, and transparency in complaint handling, which is expected to enhance accountability and public service quality at the DPRD of Palembang City
