<![CDATA[Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach on the reading ability of fourth-grade students. The researcher used a quantitative experimental research method. The design used was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The study population was all 127 students at SDN 03 Kalijaga. The sample size was 20 fourth-grade students. Data collection was conducted using tests. Data analysis in this study used normality tests, hypothesis testing, and normality tests using Liliefors. The results of the analysis of students' pretest scores obtained an l-count of 0.168 with an l-table value of 0.190, indicating that l-count < l-table. Meanwhile, the posttest normality test results obtained a calculated value of 0.163 with an ltable value of 0.190, indicating that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed. Furthermore, the hypothesis test data analysis, based on the hypothesis test calculations using a paired sample t-test on 20 students, yielded a mean difference of 24, a standard deviation of 11.073, and a calculated t of 9.692 with a ttable of 2.093, with a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis "Ho" is rejected and "Ha" is accepted, indicating a significant difference between students' pretest and posttest scores. Thus, the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach significantly influences the reading ability of fourth-grade students at SDN 03 Kalijaga. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh pendekatan Teaching at the Right level (TaRL) terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas IV. Peneliti menggunakan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksprimen. Adapun design yang digunakan one group pretest posttest design. Populasi Penelitian seluruh siswa SDN 03 Kalijaga dengan jumlah 127 siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Kelas IV dengan jumlah 20 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji normalitas, uji hipotesis dan uji normalitas pada penelitian ini menggunakan Liliefors, dengan hasil analisis nilai pretest siswa diperoleh lhitung 0,168 dengan nilai ltabel 0,190, maka lhitung < ltabel. Sedangkan nilai hasil perhitungan uji normalitas posstest diperoleh lhitung 0,163 dengan nilai ltabel 0,190, maka lhitung <ltabel. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa data hasil pretest maupun posstest berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya data analisis uji hipotesis berdasarkan perhitungan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t dengan jenis paired sampel t-test terhadap 20 siswa, diperoleh nilai rata-rata selisih 24, simpangan baku 11,073, dan thitung sebesar 9,692 dengan ttabel 2,093 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Maka hipotesisnya berbunyi “Ho” di tolak dan “Ha” diterima yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posstest siswa. Dengan demikian, pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa kelas IV SDN 03 Kalijaga.]]>
