Abstract

This study aims to analyze the scheduling of staple goods distribution activities at Toko Mandiri Indogrosir, which still faces challenges in fulfilling customer demand due to suboptimal distribution planning. The main objective of this research is to identify the total distribution demand and design a more efficient distribution schedule using the Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP) method. This research is an applied study with a descriptive quantitative approach. Primary data were obtained through interviews and direct observation at Toko Mandiri Indogrosir, while secondary data were collected from company records of demand and delivery from May 2023 to April 2025. The analysis involved forecasting demand using the least squares method, determining lot size through the lot-for-lot technique, and implementing DRP to generate an optimal distribution schedule. The results show that the DRP method effectively optimizes distribution activities, reduces stock shortages, and improves delivery timeliness. Furthermore, the cost analysis indicates increased efficiency by minimizing storage expenses and improving product availability across branches. The findings provide practical implications for Toko Mandiri Indogrosir to develop a more structured and adaptive distribution system in response to fluctuating customer demands.
