Abstract

This study aims to know the process and result of the lesson toimprove cognitive development through fishing games for group B children ofkindergarten Miftahul Huda Cilacap District.This research was a kind ofclassroom action research.This study used the Kemmis and Taggart’sdesign.Each cycle consists of four phases: planning, action, observation, andreflection. The research subjects are group B children of Kindergarten MiftahulHuda. The data collection techniques included observation, interviews, anddocumentation study. The collected data were analyzed using descriptivequalitative and quantitative methods. The results of the study show that thecognitive development of child before the action is still in the category ofbeginning to developing, that is 58,55%; the results first cycle reaches69,62%in the category of developing and the second cyclereaches 80,99% in a categoryof highly developed; the use of fishing games has a very good impact oncognitive development shown by the cognitive development of the children,which is higher after the action compared to that before the action.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe an increased process and result of language development through picture media for children Grub A in PAUD AL-Badawi, Purworejo. This research uses methods of classroom action research. This research is done during two cycle. For every cycle consist of four step are: planning, doing, action, observation, and reflection. Planning be list in lesson plan for every cycle that have arranged by teacher. Result of reflection been the next foundation. Subject research is children of Group A PAUD Al-Badawi.Technique of collected data were done by observation, interview and documentation study. Data that collected than were analized discriptive qualitative and quantitative. Result study showed language development of children before action still in begin to developing 62,56%; result study for cycle I up to 73,87%, still in develop category and cycle II up to 85,11% is very develop category. Used picture media have effecting is very good, that is showed by language development of children is increasingly better than before in action use picture media.

Abstract

Economis crisis problems affect the education system. Education in Indonesia emphasizes results more than processes and further develops intelligence. Parents will feel more happy and proud if their children are smart in the field of technology and science than having children who have good character. The demand to teach children to learn to read, write and count early will result in the implementation of the teaching and learning process of early childhood education. Learning emphasizes cognitive development and this is very contrary to the characteristics of early childhood.Learning about religious knowledge, reading and writing the Al-Qur’an and reading prayers with a memorization system. This learning process will make religion a separate subject. The learning process for early childhood is more useful when emphasizing ways of habituation and example. Character education is very important to be instilled early so children can behave well. The process of coaching and character education must be planned because the character cannot be formed easily and in a short time. The application of early childhood education is inseparable from the teaching of Islam in the Al-Qur’an and Al-Hadith as the main and fundamental provisions so that children can live life in the world based on the teachings of Islam and make the child of a scientist who is pious.
