Abstract

General Background: The global growth of Korean popular culture has intensified fandom engagement and consumption-oriented activities. Specific Background: Indonesian NCT fans actively purchase idol-related merchandise, which is often linked to pleasure-oriented lifestyle tendencies and behavioral regulation. Knowledge Gap: Empirical research examining the relationship between pleasure-oriented lifestyle patterns, behavioral regulation, and merchandise buying tendencies among Indonesian NCT fans remains limited. Aims: This study analyzed the relationship between pleasure-oriented lifestyle patterns and behavioral regulation with merchandise buying tendencies among Indonesian NCT fans. Results: Using a quantitative design with accidental sampling, 384 respondents were recruited from a Twitter fanbase. Reliability testing indicated strong internal consistency across instruments. Nonparametric correlation analysis revealed significant relationships between buying tendencies and pleasure-oriented lifestyle patterns (r = 0.661; p < .001) and behavioral regulation (r = 0.586; p < .001), with behavioral regulation demonstrating a stronger statistical association. Novelty: The study provides empirical evidence linking fandom consumption patterns with lifestyle orientation and behavioral regulation using validated psychometric measures within Indonesian NCT fan communities. Implications: The findings highlight the importance of strengthening behavioral regulation and awareness of pleasure-driven lifestyle tendencies to reduce excessive merchandise purchasing and support future consumer behavior studies in fandom contexts. Highlights: Strong Association Identified Between Pleasure-Seeking Daily Patterns and Excessive Buying Tendencies. Behavioral Regulation Shows Higher Statistical Contribution Compared With Lifestyle Orientation. Online Fan Communities Demonstrate Measurable Consumption Patterns Linked to Idol-Related Products. Abstract

General Background: Rapid digital development has increased social media usage, with TikTok becoming highly popular among individuals aged 18–29 years who are undergoing identity exploration and are vulnerable to appearance-related concerns. Specific Background: Exposure to idealized body-related content on TikTok is associated with body dissatisfaction, while internal and external psychological resources such as self compassion and social support are proposed as relevant factors. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies present contradictory findings regarding social support and rarely examine the simultaneous role of self compassion and social support among TikTok users in emerging adulthood. Aims: This study examined the relationship between self compassion and social support with body dissatisfaction among active TikTok users aged 18–29 years in East Java. Results: Using a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, data from 349 participants were analyzed through multiple linear regression. Findings revealed a significant simultaneous relationship between self compassion and social support with body dissatisfaction (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with a combined contribution of 75.2%. Self compassion demonstrated a larger partial contribution (53.4%) compared with social support (21.8%), and both variables showed negative regression coefficients, indicating that higher levels of these factors corresponded with lower body dissatisfaction. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence demonstrating the simultaneous statistical contribution of internal and external psychological resources among TikTok users in emerging adulthood. Implications: The findings highlight the relevance of fostering self compassion and strengthening supportive interpersonal environments to address body dissatisfaction during identity development stages. Highlights: Internal Acceptance-Related Construct Contributed the Largest Statistical Proportion to Variance Explanation. Interpersonal Relational Resources Demonstrated Additional Measurable Contribution to Variance Explanation. Combined Statistical Model Explained More Than Three Quarters of Variance in Negative Body Perception. Abstract

General Background: Subjective well-being reflects overall life satisfaction accompanied by frequent positive emotions and minimal negative emotions, representing a crucial indicator of psychological functioning among adolescents. Specific Background: In the school context, students often face academic stressors, including examination anxiety, learning difficulties, and uncertainty about future plans, which are associated with reduced psychological comfort and happiness. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have separately examined psychological predictors of subjective well-being; however, limited research integrates optimism and academic resilience simultaneously among Indonesian high school populations. Aims: This study aimed to examine the relationship between optimism and academic resilience with subjective well-being among students at SMA Negeri 1 Krian. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design with 275 students, Pearson Product Moment analysis revealed significant positive relationships between optimism and subjective well-being (r = 0.592, p < .001) and between academic resilience and subjective well-being (r = 0.557, p < .001). Multiple linear correlation indicated that both predictors jointly accounted for 38.3% of the variance in subjective well-being. Novelty: This study integrates two psychological and academic predictors within a single correlational model focusing on Indonesian senior high school students. Implications: The findings highlight the importance of fostering positive future expectations and adaptive coping capacities to support students’ psychological satisfaction and emotional stability within academic environments, providing insights for school-based developmental and counseling programs. Highlights: Positive Pearson Coefficients Demonstrated Significant Associations Between Psychological Outlook, Learning Adaptability, and Life Satisfaction Indicators. Combined Predictors Explained 38.3% Variance in Adolescent Psychological Satisfaction Scores. Higher Positive Future Expectations and Adaptive Coping Tendencies Accompanied Greater Emotional Balance in School Environments. Abstract

General Background: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is characterized by persistent inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity that interfere with learning activities and daily functioning. Specific Background: Play therapy using educational game media, such as Bunchems—colored interlocking balls assembled into various shapes—has been proposed as a behavioral modification strategy combined with reinforcement techniques to facilitate attention control in children. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have explored play therapy for ADHD, yet limited empirical evidence documents reinforcement-based Bunchems play using single subject research designs to examine attention-related behavioral indicators. Aims: This study examined the role of reinforcement-based Bunchems play therapy in supporting attention ability in a child diagnosed with ADHD. Results: Using a quantitative quasi-experimental single subject research with an A–B design, observations were conducted across four baseline sessions and eight intervention sessions involving a six-year-old participant. Baseline findings showed the participant could distinguish only two to three color groups and frequently experienced attention distraction. During the intervention, reinforcement through praise and applause accompanied Bunchems play tasks, resulting in the participant distinguishing up to five color groups and maintaining task completion with fewer distractions, although statistical stability remained variable and changes were not significant. Novelty: This study introduces reinforcement-integrated Bunchems play as a structured behavioral modification approach within a single-subject experimental framework. Implications: The findings indicate Bunchems play therapy combined with reinforcement may serve as an alternative intervention strategy to support attention-related learning processes in children with ADHD, particularly when implemented repeatedly and over extended durations. Highlights: Color-Group Task Performance Increased From Limited Differentiation to Full Grouping Accuracy. Motivational Feedback Maintained Task Completion and Reduced Observable Distraction Behavior. Behavioral Observation Data Demonstrated Variable Yet Observable Upward Performance Trends Across Intervention Sessions. Abstract

General Background: The rapid growth of social media use in the digital era has intensified psychological phenomena among university students, including fear of missing out (FoMO), which is associated with continuous online engagement and emotional responses to social information. Specific Background: Self-control is considered an important psychological capacity that enables individuals to regulate behavior, interpret stimuli, and manage social media usage to prevent excessive engagement. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the association between self-control and FoMO, particularly within university student populations, indicating the need for empirical clarification. Aims: This study aimed to examine the relationship between self-control and fear of missing out among FPIP students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design involving 213 students, data were collected through validated self-control and FoMO scales and analyzed using a non-parametric correlation test with IBM SPSS Statistics 29. The findings showed a correlation coefficient of −0.176 with a significance value of 0.010 > 0.05, indicating no significant relationship between self-control and FoMO. Novelty: The study provides empirical evidence demonstrating the absence of a statistically significant association between self-control and FoMO within the examined student context, contributing to ongoing academic debate regarding psychological predictors of FoMO. Implications: These findings suggest that FoMO among university students may involve factors beyond self-control alone and highlight the importance of promoting balanced social media use and behavioral regulation strategies in higher education settings. Highlights: Statistical Testing Revealed a Non-Significant Association Between the Examined Psychological Variables. Student Participants Displayed Measurable FOMO Characteristics Despite Varying Regulatory Abilities. Empirical Evidence Contributes to Mixed Research Outcomes Reported in Prior Student-Based Studies. Abstract

General Background: Work stress is a significant psychological concern within occupational settings, particularly in high-demand human service professions where employees face emotional and physical strain. Specific Background: Social workers at Liponsos experience considerable workload pressures that may lead to elevated stress levels, necessitating practical psychological interventions such as music therapy. Previous studies have suggested that music-based interventions are associated with stress reduction, yet contextual evidence within Indonesian social service institutions remains limited. Knowledge Gap: Empirical data examining dangdut music therapy as an intervention for work stress among social workers in Liponsos settings are scarce, especially using controlled experimental designs. Aims: This study aimed to examine whether dangdut music therapy reduces work stress among social workers at Liponsos. Results: Using a Randomized Control Trial design with pretest and posttest measures, findings indicated a significant decrease in work stress scores in the experimental group receiving dangdut music therapy, while the control group did not demonstrate comparable reduction. Statistical analysis using Paired Sample T-Test and Independent Sample T-Test confirmed significant differences before and after intervention. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence on the application of dangdut music therapy within a social service institutional context using a controlled experimental approach. Implications: The findings suggest that culturally relevant music therapy may serve as a practical psychological intervention for managing occupational stress among social workers. Highlights: The Intervention Group Demonstrated Significant Score Decreases After Treatment. Statistical Testing Confirmed Differences Between Pretest and Posttest Measurements. Participants Without Treatment Did Not Show Comparable Changes. Keywords: Work Stress, Dangdut Music Therapy, Social Workers, Randomized Control Trial, Occupational Psychology
