Abstract

Classroom management is an important aspect of the learning process, particularly in Islamic Education, which is oriented not only toward academic achievement but also toward the formation of students’ character. However, in practice, various problems related to classroom management are still encountered, resulting in less optimal character development. This study aims to describe the role of classroom management in shaping students’ character in Islamic Education learning at MI Raudlatul Ulum Bojonegoro. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with research subjects consisting of Islamic Education teachers, the head of the madrasah, and students. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that classroom management implemented in a planned and consistent manner is able to create a conducive learning atmosphere and support the development of students’ discipline, responsibility, and politeness. Classroom management based on Islamic values and preventive in nature is in line with Jacob Kounin’s classroom management theory. The implications of this study show that strengthening teachers’ classroom management skills and support from the madrasah environment are essential so that Islamic Education learning is not only cognitively effective but also meaningful in shaping students’ character.

Abstract

The transformation of the public relations role in crisis communication has become a strategic issue. A strong organizational culture is an essential factor in improving the quality of education and shaping the character of students in Islamic educational institutions. At MI Raudlatul Ulum, challenges still exist regarding the consistency of implementing Islamic values, teacher involvement in learning innovation, and suboptimal internal communication and collaboration. This study aims to analyze strategies for strengthening organizational culture through transformational leadership as an effort to enhance teacher professionalism, learning quality, and student character development. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and staff, as well as documentation of school activities. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify strategies, challenges, and the impact of organizational culture strengthening. The findings show that the implementation of transformational leadership through strengthening the school’s vision and mission, fostering Islamic morals and values, mentoring and empowering teachers, collaboration-based management, establishing effective communication systems, value-based performance evaluation, and recognition of active participation can reinforce a harmonious, productive, and Islamic organizational culture. These strategies increase the motivation, engagement, and loyalty of teachers and staff while creating a conducive learning environment for students. The implications of this study indicate that transformational leadership can serve as an effective model for other Islamic educational institutions in building a sustainable school culture oriented toward moral values, ethics, and academic achievement.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping moderate character among students at MI Roudlatul Ulum Bojonegoro. The background of this research stems from the growing need to strengthen religious moderation values in Islamic educational institutions, particularly at the elementary level, as a preventive effort against intolerance and exclusivism. The study aims to analyze how PAI is implemented to internalize moderation values such as justice, tolerance, and balance in students’ daily behavior. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and school leaders. The findings reveal that the implementation of PAI in the madrasah integrates moderation values through curriculum design, participatory learning strategies, religious habituation, and teacher role modeling. Teachers employ integrative, dialogical, and exemplary methods that emphasize experiential and contextual learning. Furthermore, the school environment, parental support, and community culture serve as strong reinforcing factors, while challenges arise from limited learning resources and external media influences. The study concludes that PAI at MI Roudlatul Ulum effectively cultivates students’ moderate character by harmonizing cognitive understanding, emotional empathy, and moral action. The implication of this research highlights the importance of strengthening teacher training, curriculum innovation, and collaboration among educational stakeholders to sustain Islamic education that promotes peace, inclusivity, and national harmony.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the lack of an integrative and comprehensive analysis of appropriate strategies to maintain the relevance and sustainability of Islamic education in the era of globalization. This study aims to analyze the challenges of Islamic education in the era of globalization and to examine strategic responses needed to strengthen its relevance and sustainability. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, using literature analysis and document review to explore contemporary issues related to Islamic education. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis, focusing on value integration, educator competence, curriculum relevance, and cultural influences. The results indicate that Islamic education faces major challenges in integrating Islamic values with modern knowledge, responding to global cultural influences, enhancing educators’ digital competencies, and developing relevant curricula. These challenges require comprehensive and adaptive strategies. The implications of this study suggest that Islamic education must undergo continuous transformation by strengthening value-based integration, improving educator quality, and designing future-oriented curricula to produce morally grounded and globally competitive graduates.
