Abstract

Lower back pain is one of the most common complaints experienced by pregnant women, particularly in the third trimester. Pregnancy exercise is an effective intervention to alleviate this discomfort. This study aimed to evaluate the differences in lower back pain levels before and after pregnancy exercise in third-trimester pregnant women at UPTD Klungkung I Community Health Center. A quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach was utilized, involving 21 third-trimester pregnant women selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and analyzed with the Wilcoxon test following the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The results showed a mean lower back pain score of 7.14 (SD = 0.793) before the intervention, with a significant reduction after pregnancy exercises (p < 0.001). These findings indicate a substantial improvement in lower back pain among participants after pregnancy exercises. It is recommended that pregnant women actively engage in pregnancy exercise programs to enhance comfort during pregnancy and alleviate back pain complaints.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports an increase in contraceptive use in various parts of the world. However, the use of contraceptive implants is still the lowest, at only 7.3%. In Indonesia, the use of Long-Term Contraceptive Methods (MKJP), including implants, is still lower than the use of non-MKJP. Preliminary study at UPTD. The Klungkung I Community Health Center shows that there are still many couples of childbearing age (PUS) who have not used contraception, namely 47.62%. This study aims to determine the factors associated with PUS participation in the use of implantable contraceptives in the UPTD in the working area of Klungkung I Community Health Center. The type of research is analytical observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 54 respondents. The results of the study using the Fisher-exact test showed the characteristics of parity p<0.05, husband's support p<0.05, and knowledge p<0.05. The conclusion of this research is that there is a relationship between parity, husband's support, and knowledge with the participation of couples of childbearing age in the use of contraceptive implants in the UPTD work area. Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy has a high prevalence. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Klungkung I Community Health Center Regional Technical Implementation Unit. This research uses quantitative methods with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study totaled 36 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire and an ANC register book. The data analysis used was univariate and statistical analysis with a significance level of p<0.05. The results of the analysis and univariate analysis were pregnant women with healthy reproduction (69.4%), high education (63.9%), parity of multiparous mothers (77.8%), high economic status (69.4%), frequency of compliance with visits ANC (66.7%), compliance with Fe tablet consumption (69.4%). Bivariate analysis results using the Fisher-exact test on the characteristics of age (0.02), education (0.03), parity (0.01), economic status (0.02), frequency of ANC visits (0.01), and consumption compliance of Fe tablets (0.01). Pregnant women are expected to make ANC visits and consume Fe tablets according to standards so that the health of the mother and fetus remains healthy. Health workers are expected to implement standards for the frequency of ANC visits according to standards and increase education for pregnant women.
