Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the characteristics of students and the dynamics of learning, including in Islamic Religious Education. These conditions require adaptive and relevant pedagogical approaches so that learning remains meaningful. This study aims to examine the revitalization of the storytelling method as a learning strategy for Islamic Religious Education in the era of digital disruption. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method through the search and analysis of various literature sources in the form of scientific books, accredited journal articles, and relevant research results. The results of the study indicate a mismatch between conventional Islamic Religious Education learning methods and the characteristics of students in the digital era, as well as a strengthening need for revitalizing the storytelling method as an adaptive approach. The discussion confirms that storytelling, especially when integrated with digital technology, can increase students’ cognitive, affective, and spiritual engagement and support the internalization of Islamic values contextually and sustainably.
