Vertisol has a clay content of more than 30% low organic matter, has an expanding and shrinking property. The aim of the study was to study the effect of residual doses of tobacco crooked biochar and patches on the growth and yield of tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum. L) in Vertisols. The study was arranged in Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) 2, factor I was the residual biochar dose: control (D0), 250 g tan-1 (D1), 500 g tan-1 (D2), and factor II was the treatment: without rompes (P0), rompes (P1). The results showed that there was a marked contraction in the percentage of fruit-forming flowers, wet stover, dry stover, number and weight of fruit. The residual dose of biochar 250 g tan-1 combined with the mixture can increase tomato weight by 4% from 0.90 kg tan-1 to 1.04 kg tan-1 in Vertisol
Vertisol memiliki kandungan liat lebih dari 30% bahan organik rendah, mempunyai sifat mengembang dan mengkerut. Tujuan penelitian untuk mempelajari pengaruh residu dosis biochar jengkok tembakau dan Perompesan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum. L) di Vertisol. Penelitian diatur dalam Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) 2 faktorial, faktor I adalah residu dosis biochar : kontrol (D0), 250 g tan-1 (D1), 500 g tan-1 (D2), dan faktor II adalah perompesan : tanpa rompes (P0), rompes (P1). Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada intraksi yang nyata pada variabel persentase bunga membentuk buah, brangkasan basah, brangkasan kering, jumlah dan bobot buah. Residu dosis biochar 250 g tan-1 yang dikombinasi perompesan dapat meningkatkan bobot buah tomat sebesar 4% dari 0,90 kg tan-1 menjadi 1,04 kg tan-1 di Vertisol.
