Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Early detection plays a crucial role in preventing long-term academic, cognitive, and social impairments. This community engagement program aimed to enhance public awareness and conduct early screening for ADHD risk among preschool-aged children using the Abbreviated Conners Rating Scale (ACRS). The activity was conducted in TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) Pringsewu with structured phases including preparation, education, guided screening, evaluation, and follow-up. The results indicated that all screened children scored within the normal range. The program significantly improved parents’ and teachers’ understanding of ADHD characteristics and highlighted the feasibility of implementing ACRS as an early detection tool in community-based settings. Continuous monitoring is recommended to ensure adequate developmental surveillance.
