Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) management in enhancing student creativity at the senior high school level. Using a qualitative comparative case study approach, the research was conducted at SMAN 1 Rancaekek and SMAN 27 Bandung, which exhibit differing student organization characteristics and school cultures. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings indicate that OSIS management that is participatory, flexible, and responsive to student needs can significantly enhance student creativity. SMAN 27 Bandung demonstrated more innovative practices in planning, program implementation, and evaluation aspects, whereas SMAN 1 Rancaekek remained focused on routine and administratively inclined activities. Supporting factors include supportive school leadership, active student participation, and the use of technology in organizational coordination. Challenges encountered involve time constraints, limited resources, and insufficient managerial training for OSIS administrators. This study concludes that effective OSIS management can serve as a strategic platform for developing student creativity and recommends strengthening training, program innovation, and cross-sector collaboration in OSIS management.

Abstract

The underutilization of school learning communities in improving learning quality and teacher competence is still a concern. This study explores planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating learning communities at SD Negeri Galudra and SD Negeri Manangga Sumedang (April 9–16, 2025) using observation, interviews, and documentation.Findings indicate a strong link between rising Education Report scores and effective management. The program works through four stages. Planning includes forming teams, setting goals, commitments, strategies, schedules, and budgets. Organization builds resilient teams, assigns responsibilities, and establishes structures. Implementation involves analyzing Education Report results, studying the Pancasila Student Profile (P5), developing P5 modules, and holding open learning activities. Supervision/Evaluation is done through reflection, group assessment, and follow-up plans. Overall, the learning community is managed effectively, though challenges remain in commitment and time coordination. The solution is reinforcing shared responsibility and arranging short, regular schedules to ensure continuity amidst busy routines.

Abstract

This study is predicated on the strategic role of principal leadership in enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary schools, a domain still confronting multifaceted challenges. This research aimed to describe and analyze the principal's leadership management in improving the quality of PAI learning at SDN Ciawi and SDN 4 Pakemitan, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through a triangulation of methods, including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, to ensure data validity and richness. The findings reveal that principals in both schools implement transformational and participatory leadership styles. Key strategies include active involvement in collaborative planning, continuous professional development for teachers, strengthening the school's religious culture through habituation programs, and fostering effective collaboration with teachers and parents. These interventions resulted in a significant increase in student learning motivation, the quality of instructional delivery, and overall academic and character-based learning outcomes in PAI. The study concludes that effective and visionary leadership management by the school principal is a critical determinant that substantially contributes to the enhancement of PAI learning quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study explores the management of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) in futsal extracurricular activities at SMAN 1 Cihaurbeuti and SMAN 1 Sindangkasih, focusing on the aspects of planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. The research aims to identify the comparative characteristics of management practices in both schools and to analyze their impact on students’ achievements, character development, and school reputation. A qualitative comparative approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analyzed through triangulation to ensure validity. The findings show that SMAN 1 Cihaurbeuti adopts a top-down and achievement-oriented management model, emphasizing structured planning, hierarchical organization, intensive technical training, and summative evaluation. Meanwhile, SMAN 1 Sindangkasih applies a bottom-up and participatory model characterized by inclusive planning, collaborative organization, holistic implementation, and formative evaluation. Each model demonstrates its respective strengths: the first excels in competitive performance, while the latter fosters character building, teamwork, and student engagement. Overall, the study concludes that effective PJOK management in futsal extracurricular activities requires harmonizing formal structure with participatory collaboration. Such integration ensures not only the achievement of competitive excellence but also the holistic development of students in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

This study explores the management of Scout-based extracurricular learning as a strategic approach to strengthening student discipline in senior high schools. Amid increasing emphasis on character education in the 21st century, Scouting offers a practical, experience-based model for fostering core values such as responsibility, time management, and self-regulation. Using a qualitative case study design, research was conducted at SMAN 6 Kota Tasikmalaya and SMAN 1 Cisayong, selected for their active Scouting programs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using an interactive model involving data reduction, display, and verification. The findings reveal that effective Scout learning management includes structured planning, distributed leadership, experiential implementation, and authentic evaluation. These elements contribute significantly to shaping student discipline in daily school life. Supporting factors include strong leadership, trained Scoutmasters, motivated students, and adaptive institutional strategies, while challenges such as funding constraints and limited infrastructure are addressed through creative solutions. The study concludes that Scout-based learning is a powerful and scalable model for character education when supported by collaborative ecosystems. It recommends institutional support, capacity building, and policy integration to maximize its transformative potential in school culture
