Abstract

ABSTRACT: The West Kalimantan region is dominated by low-bearing capacity peatlands and soft soils, which means that heavy construction loads have the potential to cause significant land subsidence and building cracking. Therefore, lighter structural solutions are needed to reduce the load on the ground. One alternative is the use of CLC (Cellular Lightweight Concrete) bricks, which are made from a mixture of cement, sand, water, and foam agent as the main construction material. The research method used experimental studies at the Materials and Construction Laboratory of Tanjungpura University. The results of this study show that fly ash substitution increases the compressive strength of lightweight bricks by 9,218% at a substitution variation of 4%; 18,244% at a variation of 8%; 29,036% at a variation of 12%; and then decreased again but remained higher by 3,765% at a variation of 17%. The optimum substitution was found to be 9.5% fly ash. This type of fly ash substitution has been proven to improve the performance of CLC lightweight bricks.Keywords: Fly ash; CLC lightweight brick; Compressive strength; Optimum variation ABSTRAK: Wilayah Kalimantan Barat didominasi oleh lahan gambut dan tanah lunak dengan daya dukung rendah, sehingga beban konstruksi yang besar berpotensi menyebabkan penurunan tanah signifikan dan risiko keretakan bangunan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan solusi struktural yang lebih ringan guna mengurangi beban terhadap tanah. Salah satu alternatifnya adalah penerapan bata ringan CLC (Cellular Lightweight Concrete) yang terbuat dari campuran semen, pasir, air, dan foam agent sebagai material utama konstruksi. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi eksperimental di Laboratorium Bahan dan Konstruksi Universitas Tanjungpura, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa substitusi fly ash meningkatkan kuat tekan bata ringan sebesar 9,218% pada variasi 4% substitusi; 18,244% pada variasi 8%; 29,036% pada variasi 12%; dan kembali mengalami penurunan namun tetap lebih tinggi sebesar 3,765% pada variasi 17%. Substitusi optimum terjadi pada penambahan 9,5% fly ash. Substiusi fly ash jenis ini terbukti meningkatkan kinerja bata ringan CLCKata kunci: Abu terbang; Bata Ringan CLC; Kuat Tekan; Variasi Optimum
