Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of patient safety culture on patient safety performance at Fatmawati Central General Hospital Jakarta. Patient safety culture is examined through three key dimensions: safety culture at the management level, safety culture at the unit level, and the outcome of safety culture. The research employs a mixed methods approach using a sequential explanatory model, which combines quantitative and qualitative analysis. The quantitative data were collected through a survey involving 83 nurses selected using proportional random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 17. In the qualitative phase, in-depth interviews were conducted with selected informants to deepen the understanding of the quantitative findings. The results of the study show that all three independent variables have a significant positive effect on patient safety performance, with significance values below 0.05. The outcome dimension shows the strongest influence, indicating that incident reporting and safety awareness are crucial to improving performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.424, meaning that 42.4% of the variation in patient safety performance is explained by the model. In conclusion, strengthening patient safety culture—through leadership support, unit-level collaboration, and outcome monitoring—plays a vital role in enhancing patient safety and service quality in hospital environments.

Abstract

This study employed a quantitative approach to examine the empirical relationship between supervisor support, occupational stress, work-family conflict, and nurse turnover intention. A survey was conducted among 240 nurses working in a private hospital in Tangerang from March to April 2023. The data was collected using questionnaires that had been validated and reliable, and convenience sampling was used to select the sample. The collected data was analyzed using multiple linear regression. This study employed SPSS version 26 to assess the hypothesis. The result showed that supervisor support has a negative impact on nurse turnover intention. Occupational stress also found to perform a positive effect on turn over intention. In addition, work-family conflict also displays a negative influence on the nurse’ turnover intention. This study suggests a recommendation for a private hotel management regarding maintaining nurses turn over intention by examining the role of supervisor support, occupation stress, and anticipating work-family conflict.

Abstract

User satisfaction is a critical indicator for evaluating the performance of healthcare facilities, particularly as public expectations increasingly emphasize service quality, clear procedures, and accessible information. However, evidence on how these factors jointly shape satisfaction in healthcare settings remains important to clarify. Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of service quality, service delivery procedures, and ease of access to information on satisfaction with the experience of using healthcare facilities. Methods: A quantitative survey approach was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires from 60 respondents who had previously used healthcare facilities. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression to examine both partial and simultaneous effects among variables. Findings: The results show that service quality has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.075; p = 0.003). Service delivery procedures also have a positive and significant effect (t = 3.886; p = 0.002). In addition, ease of access to information has a positive and significant effect on satisfaction (t = 3.718; p = 0.000). Simultaneously, the three variables significantly influence satisfaction (F = 43.964; p = 0.000). Implications: These findings suggest that healthcare facilities can enhance user satisfaction by strengthening service quality, improving and standardizing service procedures, and ensuring information systems are clear, responsive, and easy to access supporting practical improvements in service management and information governance. Originality: This study contributes empirically by integrating service quality, service procedures, and information accessibility within a single model to explain user satisfaction in healthcare facilities, providing added value for user-oriented service improvement initiatives.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a major public health challenge in Indonesia due to unhealthy lifestyle behaviors, including poor dietary habits, physical inactivity, smoking, and inadequate health awareness. Community-based health education is considered an effective preventive strategy to improve public knowledge and encourage healthy behavioral changes. This community service program aimed to increase community awareness and understanding of NCD prevention through healthy lifestyle education in Ciputat District, South Tangerang. The program employed a participatory educational approach involving lectures, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and the distribution of educational leaflets. The implementation consisted of preparation, educational intervention, evaluation, and reporting stages. Program evaluation was conducted through participant observations and knowledge assessment before and after the educational sessions. The implementation demonstrated active community participation throughout the activities, with participants showing increased understanding of NCD risk factors and preventive measures, including balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, smoking cessation, stress management, adequate rest, and routine health screening. The educational intervention also encouraged participants to adopt healthier lifestyle practices in their daily lives. These findings indicate that community-based health education is an effective approach to improving health literacy and promoting preventive behaviors against non-communicable diseases. Continuous collaboration among higher education institutions, local government, and community organizations is recommended to sustain health promotion programs and strengthen community participation in preventing non-communicable diseases.

Abstract

Measles remains a significant public health concern in Indonesia, particularly in densely populated urban areas where disease transmission can occur rapidly. Declining immunization coverage and limited public awareness contribute to the risk of measles outbreaks at the community level. This community service program aimed to improve public knowledge and awareness regarding the prevention and control of measles outbreaks in Ciputat District in 2025. The program employed an educational, promotive, and preventive approach through health education sessions, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational media in the form of leaflets and posters. The target participants included community members, health cadres, and local community leaders. The results of the program indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding of measles, including its modes of transmission, early symptoms, potential complications, and the importance of immunization as the primary preventive measure. Active participation during discussions reflected increased awareness and positive attitudes toward preventive health behaviors. The involvement of health cadres and community leaders strengthened the dissemination of health information and supported the sustainability of the program outcomes. Overall, this community service activity contributed to enhancing community capacity in preventing and controlling measles outbreaks. The program is expected to support public health efforts in reducing the risk of measles transmission and promoting sustained preventive behaviors at the community level.
