Abstract

Promotion decisions are a strategic aspect of human resource management in the palm oil plantation sector, directly influencing operational effectiveness and productivity targets. This study compares two Decision Support System (DSS) methods, Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Weighted Product (WP), for determining Plantation Assistant promotions at PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara Kebun Ledo 1. Four company-defined criteria were applied: length of service (10%), work productivity (40%), work behavior (20%), and leadership (30%).Nine promotion candidates from Divisions 1–9 were evaluated. Both methods yielded consistent result, with Alternative 4 (Jumadi Asri – Assistant of Division 4) achieving the highest score and thus recommended for promotion. The findings confirm that SAW and WP can be effectively applied in plantation promotion decisions, tailored to company policies and operational needs. ABSTRAK Pengambilan keputusan pada promosi jabatan merupakan aspek strategis dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia di sektor perkebunan kelapa sawit, yang secara langsung memengaruhi efektivitas operasional dan target produktivitas. Penelitian ini membandingkan dua metode Decision Support System (DSS), yaitu Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) dan Weighted Product (WP), dalam menentukan promosi Asisten Kebun di PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara Kebun Ledo 1. Empat kriteria yang ditetapkan perusahaan digunakan, yaitu masa kerja (10%), produktivitas kerja (40%), perilaku kerja (20%), dan kepemimpinan (30%). Sebanyak sembilan kandidat promosi dari Divisi 1–9 dievaluasi. Kedua metode menghasilkan temuan yang sama, di mana Alternatif 4 (Jumadi Asri – Asisten Divisi 4) memperoleh skor tertinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa metode SAW dan WP dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam pengambilan keputusan promosi di perkebunan, sesuai dengan kebijakan perusahaan dan kebutuhan operasional.
