Abstract

The digital era has transformed the leadership paradigm in Early Childhood Education (ECE) institutions, requiring principals to not only act as administrative managers but also as agents of technology-based transformation. This study aims to analyze how technology can serve as the basis for ECE leadership in an effort to enhance teacher professionalism and strengthen transformational leadership character. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach, analyzing five main journals and two supporting books. The results show that technology as the basis for ECE leadership encompasses three main strategies: improving teachers' digital competence through IT-based principal management, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for operational efficiency and strengthening children's disciplinary character, as well as adaptive and visionary digital leadership. The implementation of AI has been proven to increase operational efficiency by 61.54% and reduce data errors by 80%. The main challenges include infrastructure limitations, low digital literacy among parents, resistance to change, and budget constraints. In conclusion, technology is not merely a tool but a strategic foundation for transformational ECE leadership that enhances teacher professionalism and shapes children's character from an early age.
