Abstract

School cooperatives play a strategic role as a medium for economic education and entrepreneurship learning for students. However, in practice, the management of school cooperatives still faces various challenges, such as weak planning, unclear organizational structures, suboptimal implementation, and ineffective supervision. This study aims to analyze the role of management activities in realizing effective and sustainable governance of school cooperatives, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, with data derived from national and international scientific journal articles published within the last ten years. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of management functions—planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling—plays a crucial role in improving the effectiveness of school cooperative governance. In addition, the success of cooperative management is influenced by the competence of administrators, active student participation, and the support of teacher supervisors. Strengthening integrated management activities not only enhances cooperative performance but also contributes to the development of students’ character, financial literacy, and long-term welfare.
