Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that influence community income in Serangan Tourism Village. The objective of this research is to analyze the role of social capital in moderating the effect of individual characteristics on community income. This study is expected to provide deeper insight into the dynamics occurring within this sector and to support the development of more effective policies. The research employs a quantitative approach using the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) method. Data analysis was conducted to examine the effect of the independent variable (individual characteristics) on the dependent variable (community income), and the moderating role of social capital in altering the strength or direction of the relationship between individual characteristics and community income. The results reveal that individual characteristics (X) have a significant effect on the income of the community in Serangan Tourism Village (Y). The MRA test indicates that social capital, acting as a moderating variable, weakens the effect of individual characteristics on income. This finding highlights the importance of developing strong social networks, trust, and collaboration to improve access to information that can enhance income generation. Nevertheless, individual characteristics remain essential as a fundamental basis for individuals to earn income.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of capital, raw materials, and labor on the production levels of virgin coconut oil (VCO) entrepreneurs in Karangasem Regency. This regency was chosen because it is one of the largest VCO production centers in Bali Province; however, its productivity level has not yet reached its optimal potential. This research adopts a quantitative approach with an associative causal design using a semi-log regression analysis method to examine the relationship between the independent variables (capital, raw materials, and labor) and the dependent variable (production level). Data were collected from 31 VCO entrepreneurs using a census technique, questionnaires, interviews, and secondary data from the local agriculture office. The results show that both capital and raw materials have a significant effect on the production levels of VCO entrepreneurs in Karangasem Regency. Furthermore, capital and raw materials were found to have a positive and significant partial effect, while labor showed a positive but not statistically significant partial effect on production levels.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of education level, age, and waste prices on the participation of waste bank members in Kesiman Kertalangu Village. The main focus of this research is to address the increasing volume of waste in Denpasar and the low level of participation in local waste bank initiatives. This research employs an associative quantitative approach, with education level, age, and waste prices as the independent variables, and community participation as the dependent variable. Data were collected from 73 respondents, who are part of the 268 registered customers of the waste bank in Kesiman Kertalangu Village, determined using an accidental sampling method. The results of the study conclude that education level, age, and waste prices simultaneously have a significant influence on community participation in the waste bank program in Kesiman Kertalangu Village. Partially, the variables of education level, age, and waste prices also show a positive and significant influence on community participation. Higher education levels increase awareness and understanding; older age groups tend to participate more actively; and higher waste prices serve as an economic incentive.
