Abstract

In facing increasingly complex global challenges, having a deep understanding of cultural identity can be an invaluable asset. The millennial generation has the potential to be a powerful bringer of change by combining indigenous cultural wisdom and global insight. As a generation that continues to move forward in the modern era, the millennial generation's tendency to gain inspiration from foreign cultures cannot be ignored. This phenomenon, although controversial, reflects a drive for exploration and openness to the wider world. However, in this journey, it is important for the millennial generation not to forget their own cultural roots. Indigenous culture is a milestone of identity that connects the past with the future, reminding us of our rich historical roots and precious heritage. The millennial generation can enrich their knowledge about their own culture. Apart from being preserved in two forms, local culture can also be preserved by getting to know the culture itself. In this way, at least cultural piracy can be anticipated by other countries. The problem that often occurs in society is that sometimes they don't feel proud of their own products or culture.

Abstract

In a country with a multi-ethnic population like Indonesia, cultural conflict is something that cannot be avoided. Previous government policies that used the concept of assimilation meant that ethnic minority cultures had to merge into Indonesian culture as the dominant culture. As a result, ethnic minority cultures are lost or shackled. The concept of Multicultural Integration is offered as an alternative to reduce inter- ethnic conflict. Ethnicity is often seen as something that is situationally determined and symbolically charged. If, for example, platforms for solidarity are described and understood in structural terms, the result may be shifting ethnic identities on the basis of solidarity and politically called for mobilization on the basis of solidarity. Likewise, pressure, discrimination and racism, independent of gross cultural differences, form the basis for broad social solidarity and mobilization and the construction of a collective identity. The integration found in ethnic cultural wisdom is categorized into normative integration. Normative integration is a social bond that occurs because there is an agreement (consensus) on basic values and norms. The pattern of social relations between ethnic groups described above shows that an associative or positive pattern has been formed.

Abstract

Gender inequality in public and political life is a global challenge faced by society in the era of democracy where a meaningful democracy is a democracy that pays attention to and fights for the interests of the majority of Indonesia's population, which consists of women. The role of women in politics is actually the role of women's volunteerism to involve themselves in government institutions. There is no compulsion if women have to enter politics. However, it is based on women's own awareness to get involved in politics. To encourage an increase in women's political participation, a thorough understanding and analysis is needed so that appropriate policy recommendations are produced. Many arguments explain the importance of women's involvement in representation in politics, but empirical conditions also show that there are many factors that hinder women's political participation. The efforts made to increase women's political participation in Indonesia are: a. Political Education from the family; b. Encourage involvement in the organization; c. Advocacy for women about the importance of women being involved in politics; d. Preparing girls from an early age to become familiar with politics.
