Abstract

A Traditional Ceremony of Kebo-keboan is a ritual of bersih desa that was held in every Suro month in Java calendar which has a purpose to express thankfulness for God. Not only for expressing thankfulness but also most societies of Alasmalang Village have a role as a farmer, moreover, they have another purpose to refuse catastrophes or diseases that attacks their farmland and plantation. By doing the ceremony, the societies of Alasmalang Village believe that if the ceremony is done, they will avoid from the catastrophes which has attacked the village in the past. But the activities in this ceremony are just considered as an entertainment by visitors who come over without knowing the purposes in this Traditional Ceremony of Kebo-keboan.In this design of essay photography book of Traditional Ceremony of Kebo-keboan discusses the activities related to Traditional Ceremony in Alasmalang Village which is Kebo-keboan. By using essay photography technique and quotation in every photo of this book, it will make the readers easier to understand the activities of this ceremony.The existence of this traditional ceremony essay photography book of Kebo-keboan in Alasmalang Village, Banyuwangi, it also helps the readers to understand the activities of this ceremony, the readers are also respectively appreciate the culture which has derived by the ancestors in Indonesia.Keyword: Design of Essay Photography Book, Traditional Ceremony, Kebo-keboan, Alasmalang, Banyuwangi Culture.

Abstract

Surabaya city filled with various kinds of uniqueness and history that preceded. But we need to know there are still many historical relics that exist in surabaya especially the museum of heroes monument is where the first president of Indonesia Ir.Soekarno declare the text of the proclamation as well as in there are historical events such as reading the text of the proclamation of Bung Tomo who in the era of penjajahn Giving spirit, courage and willingness to die to seize the seized power of the allies. As well as the story of surabaya people who fought against the invaders. Objects - objects such as weapons, clothing, art, and others.But not all people surabaya recognize the Surabaya health museum and especially for students who often do research but do not know the existence of Surabaya health museum, this is based on the results of interviews conducted on the head of the health museum Surabaya. Minimnya less knowledge of society, especially for students in the city surabaya.The purpose of this study is to design a book catalog of health museum Surabaya using photography techniques with this can inform the students in the city of Surabaya.Researcher conducted by using qualitative research method, with technique of collecting data through interview, observation, documentation, existing study and literature study. The results of data analysis, then in the reduction to find keywords that lead to communication strategy book that will be used. By raising "Different" as a keyword that has been found, the word "Different" is defined differently from the others, that is, the book catalog of museums that distinguishes more specifications describes the collection and the results of photography is clear.The result of designing the catalog book of Surabaya Health Museum as well as its media empowerment has made informative and educative elements about Surabaya health museum collections, so it is expected to be a medium to find out information about the health museum collections of Surabaya.Kata Kunci: Perancangan, Buku Katalog, pendidikan sejarah, Fotografi

Abstract

Museum of Surabaya was established since May 3rd 2015. The idea to establish the building came from the Governor of Surabaya, Tri Risma, which at the moment needed space to keep her unused belongings at the storage in her office, and realised that the Siola building was available. Surabaya citizen is clueless about the museum inside the Siola building, and the researcher wants to formulate an information to make the museum recognised by the citizen. The purpose of this Final Assignment Project is to make people aware of what  remains in the museum, especially steam locomotive. By using a suitable language for teenagers, adding subtitle and transition effect in the exciting video, will hopefully deliver the purposed information. The impact of social media is insanely important for everyone. Other than searching for friends, doing online business, social media  is also proved to be useful to look for new information. For that reason, the researcher wants to use the social media, moreover Youtube, as the main tool to introduce the museum to the people of Surabaya. In the making and designing the video, we have had through a complex process, such as repeating takes of pictures, then sorting it. Next thing to do was cutting and adding effect for transition like grading effect, also putting proper music to give the effect of happiness and calmness for everyone who watches it. Abstract

Blok Coklat Village is one of the natural-based tourist destinations that have facilities include; cocoa nurseries, cocoa plantations, cocoa bean dryers, chocolate processing plants, cooking classes, brown outlets, chocolate cafes, meeting rooms, fish therapies and outlets selling chocolate products.Blitar Coklat Village was developed by 48 (forty eight) farmer groups in Blitar district and incorporated as Cooperative named Gapoktan "Guyub Santosa". Blitar Kampung Coklat Plantation is currently growing and frequently visited by local, national and mancanagera tourists.Tourists visiting Kampung Coklat Blitar are given insights on the cultivation of cocoa plants ranging from cocoa plant breeding, ripe cocoa seeding, the drying process of cocoa beans to the processing of cocoa beans into delicious processed chocolate.Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that: first, the Blitar Coklat Village logo does not describe the visual identity as a company characteristic. Second, the logo of Kampung Coklat Blitar has similarities with other company logos. Third, the logo of Kampung Coklat does not describe the vision and mission of the Kampung Coklat company set by the board, which is to build an intelligent, independent, empowered and prosperous Indonesian community.Therefore it is necessary to redesign the logo of Kampung Coklat Blitar which describes the visual identity and vision - the mission of Kampung Coklat as the characteristics of the company, so that in the long term it can improve the image or image of the more developed and advanced Kampong Coklat company, for the development of natural education based tourism, attracting many local, national, even foreign tourists.Keywords: logo redesign, Chocolate Village Identity, Chocolate Village Vision, Corporate Image

Abstract

The book is a print media that plays a role to provide educational information to all circles of society, pop-up books are books that contain an interactive element when opened and as if there is an object or object that emerged from a pop-up book that provides a visualization of Yang Interesting. In the design of this pop-up book will discuss about the cultural heritage monument located in the city of Surabaya are still many children who do not know the story behind the history of the monument.With the design of the pop-up book of monuments in Surabaya it aims to introduce the history that is on the monument in Surabaya in the form of a pop-up book. By doing research approach to be more focused, hence this research use qualitative research method through collecting data obtained from interview, observation and documentation. Abstract

Home Spa Laksmi is one of the platform of “Laksmi Kebaya Muslimah & Islamic Wedding Service” a service is still much that needs to explore and developed. This study aims to build  brand identity Home Spa Laksmi that the public especially people in Surabaya is known to the services of Laksmi, especially the Home Spa Laksmi. In the design process she needs to find an identity company. What are the company will have a relationship with the company's image, so that the identity of the company is important to note from the beginning. In addition, Home Spa Laksmi has value and make a difference in all the elements, so it's a thing called the process of branding or design brand identity.Some of the methodology of research that the methodology of a qualitative among others  including observation, interviews, the competitors, techniques to analyze data, the reduction of data, the withdrawal of the conclusion. Abstract: In today's modern era children tend to be happy to follow new trends that make them interested in the culture of foreign country rather than the culture of the country itself. This is what makes our country culture rarely glimpsed by children, Arts Ludruk is one that has been inherited by Cak Durasim in the city of Surabaya, but not all people in Surabaya, especially children - children recognize the figure Cak Durasim. Children need to be introduced about the history of Cak Durasim in order to be more able to appreciate and awaken the patriot's soul about the arts of his own country. The purpose of Cak Durasim's history illustration book is to re-introduce the history of Cak Durasim to the children in Surabaya and to awaken the heroic soul. The research was conducted using qualitative research methods, with data collection techniques and through interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. By raising "Extraordinary" as a found keyword, the word "Extraordinary" is interpreted as extraordinary, special or something unusual. Writer have done direct observation in place and found that flower markets bratang surabaya not had a logo that is the key important in introduce this place to public .This tourism interested in  market because there is superior products offered .In this research , writer will focus on the process design logo new has become a key factor in the next process .The concept of logo who has been designed namely bloom or from analysis training and keywords .The concept of bloom which means bloom .The philosophy of the logo is a plant starting from seed to flowers that bloom .Said bloom also chosen  because to reflect hope the traders flower markets bratang surabaya in order of place is a choice tourist destinations flower markets superior and was different to kompetitornya .In process of making logo done stage go brainstorm , making alternative visual , sketch logo alternative , logotype election. In addition to the manufacture of the logo , has been designed gsm ( graphic manual standart ) which aims to give an explanation and help users in menggunaan and apply brand identity flower markets bratang .As a broad outline , gsm also took the company profile , brand identity and promotional items .Media promotion made namely in the form of a leaflet , flyer , plastic bag , signage and billboards.Keywords: Identitas Visual, Logo, GSM (Graphic Standart Manual).

Abstract

Traditional games, a game that has existed since antiquity, and is one of the many cultures that exist in Indonesia. Traditional game is often used as an activity to fill the spare time in antiquity. However, today traditional games are rarely encountered in many places, due to the declining interest of children today against traditional games. Thus the researchers made a comic book that themed traditional games, remember the children who still love the media of comics in the present day. Data collection techniques that will be used in searching for things related to traditional games are through observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature studies, competitor studies, and documentation. The data obtained will have an important role to the problems that arise on The design of traditional game comic books with digital painting techniques for children aged 6-12 years as an effort to preserve the culture, thus requiring a lot of accurate data so that the results obtained can be accounted for. This data is used to find out the initial concept in traditional game comic book design. The result of the design of traditional game comic books as well as the implementation of the media already contains informative and educative elements about the traditional game being lifted, namely the umper plot and the castles. Based on the keyword concept used that is delightfull. Abstract

Remo dance is an opening dance of an event and dance typical of East Java that has meaning about the courage of a prince. Remo dance can be obtained from within a person's soul and the emotions that represent the people of East Java. Remo dance started in District Diwek, Ceweng, Jombang regency in 1850. originally this dance was created by some singers dance at that time. In the era of Cak Durasim in 1927 Remo dance was successfully performed in Surabaya society which was presented in the opening of Ludruk theater and other cultural performances.                The lack of public understanding of the meaning of the Remo Dance movement attracts researchers to preserve local culture with the cultural conditions of Indonesia that are beginning to disappear by outside cultural values, aimed at not being eroded by the times. The development of the current era is more advanced, especially people living in big cities know less and understand about traditional dance dance Remo. This is due to the lack of insight into the traditional dance arts that are consumed by modern times today, due to the less desirable cultural preservation. The displacement of traditional art by the development of the times can be understood because the exposure to the community is less informative.                The purpose of the researcher is to design the story photography of remo dance book as an effort to preserve the traditional dance arts of Surabaya with a focus on the meaning of a movement and the meaning contained within the movement.                From the results of the analysis of the data then the concept obtained is Expressive which has a meaning as a picture or expression of traditional art Remo dance. and then,  the story photography of remo dance book designed by investigators as evidence Surabaya preserve traditional dance arts that have an authentic cultural values strong      Keywords : Story Photography, Remo Dance, Expressive, Surabaya Traditional Dance
