Abstract

Faith and character development in secondary schools is an important foundation in shaping a young generation with integrity, faith, and the ability to face the challenges of the modern era. This article explores faith development strategies based on biblical values to develop students’ character. The research method is based on a literature study with an analytical descriptive approach with theological literature related to Christian faith-based character education. The results of the study indicate that the application of biblical values, such as love (1 Corinthians 13:4–7), honesty (Proverbs 12:22), and responsibility (Colossians 3:23), can be integrated into learning activities through a reflective approach, teacher role models, and co-curricular activities that build a community of faith. The discussion concludes that the integration of faith and character education improves students' morality, while strengthening their spirituality, which prepares them to face cultural plurality and digitalization. A faith development strategy based on biblical values, therefore, can serve as a model for effectively developing holistic Christian character in secondary schools.
